This Sunday we are starting a new series on the Royal Psalms – Psalms that sing about the majesty of the kings of Israel and, in certain ways, point us to Jesus, the ultimate King and Ruler. To kick us off we’ll be looking at Psalm 45, which is a song written for a royal wedding. It is a beautiful and passionate poem, celebrating marriage, kingship and their fulfilment in Christ. And so, we can be encouraged with the security and majesty of God’s reign, the self-applicable virtues of a godly king, and the true comfort of being Christ’s beloved bride.
