Psalm 23 NLT
A psalm of David. 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. 2 He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. 3 He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. 4 Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. 5 You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. 6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
Jer
Jeremiah 31:13 NLT
13 The young women will dance for joy, and the men—old and young—will join in the celebration. I will turn their mourning into joy. I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing.
2 CO 1:3-4
2 Corinthians 1:3–4 NLT
3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
Father
We gather this evening to pray for those who have been the victims of some type of crime. We pray for those who we have lost to drugs through overdose. We pray also for the family members and friends of those who have been murdered in our area. Something or someone has been taken from them and we pray that you, the God of comfort will rise up and bring supernatural comfort as only you can.
I pray that as these walk through what feels like the “valley of the shadow of death” that they will turn to you, commit their lives to you and receive the peace that comes from knowing you. Give each of these your peace.
for the families & friends of those who have been victims of crime her on our area. We pray for those who have been robbed
