What is the fire of God? The fire of God is the very essence of God’s being. The fire of God is His presence; it is His glory. God is a fiery being.

() “For our God is a consuming fire”. The Greek word for “consuming” here is a verb, in the present tense and it is active. Meaning that God is still performing this or in a constant state of performing it. It is pronounced “katanalisko” and it means to “consume”. The idea of this word is — “to destroy, conceived of as using up or consuming something utterly and completely

So Gods fire destroys.
Gods fire uses up.
So Gods fire destroys.
And Gods fire consumes something utterly and completely.
The New King James Version. (1982). (). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.
