By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. 27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Process of Maturity v.24

By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
Side Note: v.24 “...refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter”
Too many people just go along with what is not right!
“don’t want no trouble”
“don’t rock the boat”
Stand up for what is right!
Refuse to quit!
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

The Faith of Parents

By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.

The Impulse

By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
Perhaps they were not sure about what they were going to do at first...
They’re impulse or instinct told them not to do it
“Obey every impulse of the Holy Spirit of God”

The Impact

You cannot overstate the impact that parents have on Children
What impact did Moses parents have in his life?
What impact will it have on your children if you drop out of church and go back to the word?
If spiritual matters are not taken serious by you, your children will pick up on it...

The Imitation

Courageousness
By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

The Future Path

By faith Moses, when he was come to years...
What will your children do when they are come to years?
What vision do you have for your children (what are you praying for)
Are they mature?
Do they have a strong relationship with the Lord?
Correct bad habits (be a coach)
Do not pass the buck...
You have to make tough decisions
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
You have

Power of Choice v.25

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
How many people would have chosen pleasure over affliction?
You are not powerless!
Theme from Apache Creek 2019
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Selma Elmore’s conscience must have been bothering her. In October 2010, The 44-year-old woman flagged down a police car in Lockland, Ohio to ask if there was a warrant out for her arrest. After the officer informed her that there was, she ran away. Her previous warrant was for failing to pay a fine, but her new problem, resisting arrest, was much more serious.
We need to make good decisions
We need to choose to do what is right!
Don’t run away from your problems either

Eternal over Temporal v.25

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Your faith is seen in the decisions you make. Most people don’t have faith, so they choose what is temporal over the eternal.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Spiritual over Material v.26

Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
Rich young ruler
And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Christ over the World v.27

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
“refuse” to be part of the world
By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter
