Jesus’ First Advent

The Incarnation of Jesus: The God-Man, truly God and truly man. Divinity humbling taking on flesh, bringing God to man, and man to God.

Isaiah

Jesus’ Incarnation is the truest form of hospitality

Without the incarnation of Jesus, we are not redeemed and made family of God.

Justified = “Familified”

Placed into the family/community of God

What does Incarnation have to do with the Church:

The church carries the ministry and responsibilities of Jesus’ incarnation as his body on earth.

Hospitality is a forgotten ministry/component of what Jesus commissioned us to do.

The great commission:

Preach the gospel, make disciples of all nations “placing them into” the family/community of God, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
