Paul’s Life And Testimony Changed

Question:  What did the Damascus Jews think when Saul preached Jesus Christ?

Four Ways New Converts Should Act:

I. Care For Yourself Physically And Spiritually. - L v. 19

A. Saul ate food. - L v. 9, 19

B. Saul needed spiritual strength. - L v. 19

Question: Why is it important to assemble with fellow believers in Christ?

Answer: Hebrew 10: 24, 25

Hebrews 10: 24,25 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

1) To stir up love.

2) To build up one another.

John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

II. Share God’s  Word - L v. 20

A. Saul preached Christ. -  L v. 20

B. Saul preached Jesus as God’s  Son. - L v. 20

III. Become A Testimony To Others.- L v. 21

A. Saul’s message shocked these Jews. - L v. 21; L Acts 4:18-20

B. These Jews witnessed a changed man. - L I Cor 9:16

II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

IV. Continue To Grow In The Lord. —L  v. 22

A. Saul grew stronger through the Holy Spirit. —L v. 22; L Acts 1:8

B. Saul continued to preach Jesus as Christ. — L v. 22

“Confounded” means baffled or confused.

Conclusion: Three Points Of Interest.

1) Believers need to be physically and spiritually prepared to share Jesus. - L v. 19

2) Believers need to tell others that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.—L v.20

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

3) Believers should live what they proclaim. —L v. 21, 22

Matthew 5:48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
