5. Living out Fellowship
5. Living out Fellowship
What’s your experience with the church been like? You here today so I assume its something you see as a benefit in your life
Training
Training
The Bible has a lot of commands for how we’re to treat one another. These are called the “one another” commands:
Honour One Another
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;
Accept One Another
Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.
Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.
To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit;
Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Serve One Another
For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Don’t Condemn One Another
Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this—not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s way.
Submit to One Another
and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.
You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
Forgive One Another
bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.
Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Encourage One Another
Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.
But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
Love One Another
Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;
with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love,
Confess your sins to one another
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
The easiest way for us to do that is to see and treat each other as friends.
There are a number of ways for you to get connected with our local church.
Perhaps you’re already involved in some of them?
Sunday Morning -
Home Groups - Our Home Groups help us be devoted to the Word, each other, prayer, service and evangelism like we see the church doing in Acts 2:42-47
One thing we truly value at Kingdom Way is community. And the best way to get connected with our family and start meeting others is through Home Groups. Home Groups are where you can develop real and lasting friendships that go beyond Sunday morning. To find the group perfect for you, simply download our app and learn more. We’ll see you there!
Events - We host events like Paint Night, Free Family Movie Nights, King’s Table meals, and monthly Connect Sundays - all designed to connect us with each other face-to-face.
We also often have classes on topics that may be valuable to you. You can find out all of these at MyKWC.ca
Hospitality - Biblical hospitality is an art form that can never be lost.
We’re told to welcome strangers because we might be entertaining angels
Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.
Hospitality is throughout the Bible and lived out in the early church.
An introvert and an extrovert might practice hospitality in different ways, but the biblical commands for them to practice hospitality are not predicated on a personality type.
Hospitality can be defined as “the quality or disposition of receiving and treating guests and strangers in a warm, friendly, generous way.”

Tool
Here are some ways to cultivate a Hospitable Heart
Here’s some ways to purpose to nurture a heart for biblical hospitality that sincerely communicates: “Come back soon.”
Collect and file simple, inexpensive recipes for desserts and meals.
Make a list of people who would be encouraged by your offer of hospitality.
Make a plan to invite your first guests soon.
Start simple—spontaneously inviting someone home after church is a great beginning.
Pray that our hospitable God will give you joy in demonstrating his character to others.
Remember that memories require time and energy to create.
Application
Welcome 3 people every week into your rhythms - someone inside the church, someone outside the church and someone God highlights.
