Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

People want to have their cake and eat it too!

Church person on Sunday, and be Mr. Cool Worldy guy on Monday-Saturday.

It don’t work that way!

Be consistent

Your relationship with God is a daily relationship

Divided Loyalty

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

God is looking for whole-hearted loyalty!

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

God has been nothing but faithful and loyal to you!

You can’t be a friend of the world and a friend of God!

Life is going to give us choices and we are going to have to decide how we handle the situation...

What do I do about Halloween?

Does Halloween glorify the Lord?

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

2. Does Halloween glorify death, and evil spirits?

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

3.People use ANY holiday to do unholy things.

So JUST AVOID IT.

Drunkeness

Immodesty

Fornication

Foolishness - Staying out late never helped anyone

Dwelling of the Spirit

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Flee fornication.

Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

What shall we say then?

Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid.

How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Distribution of Grace

But he giveth more grace.

Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

How much grace have you received?

He giveth MORE...

God has more grace to give, but not everyone is in a position to receive it.

We must be HUMBLE…God tells us over and over again to be humble.

Deliverance from the Devil

Submit yourselves therefore to God.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Submit and Resist!

Resist - don’t submit

How do we resist the Devil?

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
