A lot of things have been said in regards to the things Henry enjoyed and of the character of the person that he was
A person with compassion, and love of his fellow man
Now I want to share
The monkey story with Mama Free
The rappelling story with Salina
The rods and reels in the garage
The lighter fluid following him from
But at the end of the stories, and when ever our lives come to that point where God recalls what He has created, we all face the same day that Henry did.
As i understand, he was living life to the fullest, until a couple of weeks ago, putting proof to the fact that we don't know when God will call us, and the only certainty is that day will come.
My question is this, are we spiritually ready for that day.
The physical death for a Christian in not a true but a moving forward.
Death is not leaving home, but going home.
Not defeat, but victory.
This earth is not truly home
Scripture makes it clear that in order to be in the presence of our Lord, we must leave this world and these bodies behind
There is no waiting around, when Henry closed his eyes to this world he opened them to see God.
V. 10 tells us “we all must appear before the judgement seat of Christ
We must prepare for that day
The first thing I want us to notice is how Jesus reassures not just the disciples, but all believers
and as the Jewish nation had believed in God, we are to believe in Christ
Jesus tells us that there is a place for us there in Glory with God the Father, and that He has gone ahead to make preparations for us for when it is our time to go there
And when our time comes, He will come for us
And all true believers know that Jesus Christ is the only way to that dwelling place in heaven, there is no other way
Jesus reaffirms that in v. 6 by saying “I am the way,
To the family, the upcoming days will bring about thoughts, feelings and memories that will be an emotional roller coaster.
When those times come, seek Christ.
To the family, the upcoming days will bring about
Just as our opening scripture tells us, “Do not be troubled”
Let us pray
