angels
angels
When the morning stars sang together,
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
says that when God created the heavens and the earth, “all the angels shouted for joy.” From this, we know that angels existed long before humans ever existed and they were created by God for good
The word angel means “Messenger” so it probably comes as no surprise that there are many times in Scripture where God chooses angels to take His message to His people. Throughout the Bible we find angels involved in communicating God’s truth or message as the Spirit of God directed them.
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
God loves us so much that He sends His angels to guard, guide and protect us through various stages of our life. Although we may not immediately know or see that angels are around us, they are there at God’s direction and working to assist us in this live and the next.
Praise ye him, all his angels:
Praise ye him, all his hosts.
Let them praise the name of the Lord:
For he commanded, and they were created.
Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
When were the angels created? In the absence of explicit testimony a plausible opinion would be that they were brought into existence at the commencement of the creation week.
All created things came into being during the first week (), and since the angels “shouted for joy” when the “foundations of the earth” were laid (, ), it is not unreasonable to assume that they came into existence during the initial stages of God’s creative activity.
