Messed Up Message

Things Are Really Messed Up!

We talk all the time, with good evidence, of just how messed up things have gotten.

Just last week a court in TX decided to allow a woman to transition her 7 year old son into a girl.

Our age; streambed as it is, still one of fear, uncerbinty

' and'iurmoil.

Now how much more messed up can it get than that!

But, no matter how messed up things get; God has given us the needed message for such messed up times.

A Message of Love in an Age of Hate

A Message of Peace in an Age of War

The world is on fire!

The gospel is a message of peace (; ).

Romans 10:15 NKJV

15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

Ephesians 6:15 NKJV

15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Through the message of the gospel we restore peace with God (; ).

Romans 5:1 NKJV

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Thessalonians 5:23 NKJV

23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is with us when we live in peace, as peacemakers (; ; ).

9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.

A Message of Hope in an Age of Despair

The world’s message is one of utter despair!

The world’s message is one of utter despair!

The Gospel’s message is one of unimaginable hope.

The hope of everlasting life (; ).

7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

A Message of Faith in an Age of Doubt

A life without faith is a truly miserable life! (, ).

Hebrews 11:1 NKJV

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

The Christian life is a faith-filled life.

Faith in Christ for remission of sins ().

Acts 10:43 NKJV

43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”

Saving faith is an obedient faith ().

31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. Conclusion:

We live in a messed up world!
