1 John 1:1-4

Life

There was only life until death entered the world through sin.

With death comes much pain and often a fear of eternity.

Jesus coming changes the death-stained reality as He brings life.

Life is only in Jesus, and He gives it to all who believe.

Fellowship

One of the first effects of sin was broken relationships.

Our relationship to God is central and can only be restored through

Jesus (1 Peter 3:18).

With a right relationship with God at the center we can have true relationships with others.

Jesus brings us together by uniting us around what is most important.

Joy

Joy is a happy feeling in the deepest part of our soul.

Death and broken relationships are joy-killers.

In being restored to God, we are brought to the source of joy

(Psalm 16:11).

Joy in God is made complete when others experience it as well.
