Three Ways God Turns Bad Situations Into Good

I. God Helped the Christian Churches.

A. He gave them peace. - L - v.31a

1. He converted Saul. - L - Acts 9:10-16

2. He redirected the Jewish leaders.

B. God helped to edify them. - L- v.31a

"Edify" means to build up in faith.

Read Romans 14:19; John 8:31,32

C. God helped them live for the Lord. - L- v.31b

1. They walked in the fear of the Lord.

"Walking" refers to one's life-style.

"Fear" means to trust or reverence. - L- John 5:30

2. They walked in the comfort of God's Spirit. - L- v.31b; L- John 14:26

Lesson: God's Church can't be stopped. - L- Matthew 16:18

II. Peter Committed to the Lord's Mission.

A. Peter taught in the Christian Churches. - L- v.32

B. Peter went to Lydda. - L- v.32

III. Peter is used by God to provide a miracle.

A. Peter found a paralyzed man. - L- v.33

B. Peter had compassion and calls on God's power. - L- v.34

1. He calls on Jesus. - L- v.34a; John 15:5

2. He encourages Aeneas to stand. - L- v.34b

C. Aeneas' healing turned others to Christ. - L- v.35

"Saw" has the idea of seeing God's power.

"Turned to the Lord" means a change in Life's direction.

Conclusion: Three Points of Interest:

1. A Church that diligently seeks God will not fail. - L- v.31

2. God will bring godly people to help sincere saints. - L- v.32

3. God changes peoples' lives, so the Holy Spirit can help save others. - L- v.34,35
