Identity, Testimony,  Purpose
Proverbs 24:3–4 NKJV
3 Through wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; 4 By knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.
Wisdom,         Understanding,          Knowledge
Fear,                Doubt,                         Unbelief
Three ingredients to becoming the family of God
· Identity, Testimony, Destiny of Purpose –
· Faith, Hope, Love –
· Life, Breath, All Things
Wisdom and Knowledge will give us Understanding

Wisdom,         Understanding,          Knowledge
Faith,              Hope,                           Love
Prodigal son story. (Luke 15:11-32)
This story is about Father.
This story is about connecting to Father.
There are 3 journeys spoken about in the Prodigal son story.
A son who tries to find himself independently.
A son who tries to find himself through works that appear right.
A son who finds connection with Father.
A son who is one with Father as Jesus is one with Father.
Father gave 3 things to His son,
Robe,              Ring,        Sandals.
Identity,          Testimony,    Purpose...
Proverbs 1:7 NASB95
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 9:10 NASB95
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
It starts with Fear of the Lord.
Wrestle with God. (Gen 32:24-32)
Jacob wrestled with God not necessarily to find who he was.
God wrestled with Jacob for Jacob to know who God is and who he is.
On the way to face the fear of Jacob’s past he met God and was given his true name.
Pain in his hip speaks of no longer doing anything in the flesh.
So,
When your will submits to His will, you find Father and your true self.
Three stages of discipline:
Denial,           Anger,            Brokenness
Ignore,           Resent,          Embrace
To come to true Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding it starts with a Fear of the Lord.- not fear of circumstances or people.
Fear,   Doubt, and    Unbelief
Faith,  Hope,             Love
Our identity is only found in Christ.
Galatians 3:26–27 NASB95
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Our testimony is in Christ – it manifested as a testimony of hope –
· Rom. 5:1-5
Our purpose is in Christ – we are a part of the body of Christ for His purpose in all things
· We are each a treasure in God’s house to reveal the full treasure house of God
Three unshakeable things are essential for us discovering our true identity, testimony and purpose as individuals and together as the people of God – 1Cor. 13:13
Faith -             Hope –                       Love
Wisdom,        Understanding,         Knowledge
· True Knowledge is a knowledge that reveals the testimony of being a treasure of life to others
· True Understanding is to have the hope of becoming a blessing to the world you live in
· Faith is the substance of that hope – becoming the authentic you
The mystery of 3 is proof of finding God (Trinity) and our true identity.
When our lives are manifesting these patterns of 3 we are walking in our true identity in Christ.
Faith, Hope, Love
Righteousness, Peace, Joy
Wisdom,  Understanding,  Knowledge
Identity, Testimony,  Purpose
Opposite:
Fear, Doubt, Unbelief
When our lives are manifesting any of these 3, we are walking in a false identity of God and or our selves.
- Fear, Doubt, Unbelief

Luke 15:11–32 NASB95
11 And He said, “A man had two sons. 12 “The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that falls to me.’ So he divided his wealth between them. 13 “And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living. 14 “Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to be impoverished. 15 “So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 “And he would have gladly filled his stomach with the pods that the swine were eating, and no one was giving anything to him. 17 “But when he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more than enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger! 18 ‘I will get up and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight; 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired men.” ’ 20 “So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. 21 “And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; 23 and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; 24 for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate. 25 “Now his older son was in the field, and when he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 “And he summoned one of the servants and began inquiring what these things could be. 27 “And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has received him back safe and sound.’ 28 “But he became angry and was not willing to go in; and his father came out and began pleading with him. 29 “But he answered and said to his father, ‘Look! For so many years I have been serving you and I have never neglected a command of yours; and yet you have never given me a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends; 30 but when this son of yours came, who has devoured your wealth with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’ 31 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32 ‘But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’ ”
Genesis 32:24–32 NASB95
24 Then Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak. 25 When he saw that he had not prevailed against him, he touched the socket of his thigh; so the socket of Jacob’s thigh was dislocated while he wrestled with him. 26 Then he said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” But he said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” 27 So he said to him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob.” 28 He said, “Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but Israel; for you have striven with God and with men and have prevailed.” 29 Then Jacob asked him and said, “Please tell me your name.” But he said, “Why is it that you ask my name?” And he blessed him there. 30 So Jacob named the place Peniel, for he said, “I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been preserved.” 31 Now the sun rose upon him just as he crossed over Penuel, and he was limping on his thigh. 32 Therefore, to this day the sons of Israel do not eat the sinew of the hip which is on the socket of the thigh, because he touched the socket of Jacob’s thigh in the sinew of the hip.
Proverbs 9:6–11 NASB95
6 “Forsake your folly and live, And proceed in the way of understanding.” 7 He who corrects a scoffer gets dishonor for himself, And he who reproves a wicked man gets insults for himself. 8 Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you, Reprove a wise man and he will love you. 9 Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser, Teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning. 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. 11 For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you.
Proverbs 1:5–7 NASB95
5 A wise man will hear and increase in learning, And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel, 6 To understand a proverb and a figure, The words of the wise and their riddles. 7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.
