Jesus Christ - a better priest/priesthood - forever

For most of us, that which is new is often compared with that which is somewhat familiar.
Asian pears
Persimmons
Wild game - Venison, Elk, Moose
Partially depends on personal experience :
ELK - English Language Club
Anti-cafe - Coffee/meeting shops in Moscow/CIS where pay by the minute/hour- coffee and light snacks provided.
Living north of the Arctic Circle - June 21 or December 21
But similarities, “sort of like this” can take us so far - shark fin soup, snail suchi
Similarities are also limited when we mistakenly refuse to see beyond what or who we know. That is especially sad when the something or someone to whom we should redirect our sight is far superior - black and white/colour TV’s - microwaves
The writer of Hebrews continued to remind his readers that Jesus Christ was far better than anything or anyone that/who defined who they were as a people. That included angels, Moses, the promised rest, the priesthood and the old covenant.
With the help of the Holy Spirit, he then gently reminded them that while Jesus Christ was in some ways similar to Melchizedek, who predated all of the comparisons to date, Jesus Christ was also better than Melchizedek.
