Grandma Stories for Fun
Oh Grandma!
A dying grandma tells her grandchild, "I want to leave you my farm. That includes the barn, livestock, the harvest, the tractor, and other equipment, the farmhouse and $24,548,750.45 in cash." The grandchild, absolutely floored and about to become rich says, "Oh grandma, you are SO generous! I didn't even know you had a farm. Where is it?" With her last breath, Grandma whispered, "Facebook..."

Why Honor?
Why Honor?
It’s funny how God works sometimes. I was looking at my calendar for the month of November and noticed that next week we will be celebrating Veterans. I have always felt it was important that we honor our veterans and especially today we need to teach our young people the importance of honoring our veterans.
So I thought to myself we need to do whole series on “Honor” and its importance in our life. However, what the Lord began to do in my heart since I decided to do this series has been incredible.
So today I want to open up this series by sharing with you some important Kingdom principles about Honor.
You cannot be a host of God’s presence without honoring one another.
You cannot be a host of God’s presence without honoring one another.
This set of scriptures has been going on in my heart for a while now. I have always known it, but it has really hit home.
We can be gifted to speak a prophetic word, but if you can’t love your spouse with honor then your voice will be like a clanging symbol.
A clanging symbol not does not make sense, but it is actually pretty annoying.
The foundational ingredient to honor is to walk in the Godly love that Jesus showed us while he was here on the earth.
Until we learn how to honor one another it will be a hinderance to us hosting the presence of God.
We will have moments of his presence, but not sustained presence.
Life flows through Honor!
Creating a Culture of Honor is a core value of the Kingdom of God

Heaven has a culture that is built on Honor.
When God made you, He made you to honor and to be honored.
A culture of honor is built around “What can I give,” not “what do I need.”
Danny Silk
The culture of Honor is found in the commandments. Honor your parents, and the reward is long life!
What does honor look like?
What does honor look like?
The principle of honor states that accurately acknowledging who people are will position us to give them what they deserve and receive the gift of who they are in our lives. Danny Silk
Who people are is not always how they are currently behaving, but acknowledging who God made them to be!
Honor is a choice that I make with my heart to recognize someone as a child of God.
So what does that look like for Perry Assembly?

We think the best of people, we believe in people!
We believe God can transform people so we honor them.
We cast away all negative talk and gossip.
We forgive like Jesus forgives.
We become friends with people we don’t have much in common with.
We don’t criticize or make fun of people.
When people miss it we don’t cast them away, we encourage them.
We honor those who has been placed in authority.
We run from pride and embrace humility.
I know there is much more that we will learn through this journey.
To Honor is express God’s heart
To Honor is express God’s heart
Where is your heart towards others?
Is their racism, hatred, bitterness, pride, unforgiveness?
Lets repent!
