1. A Man’s Purpose

you can be “there, ‘but absent
The Ministry of Presence
God wants man to show up
be fully there and fully present, as God intended
“You’re called to be the Spiritual leader” but what does that mean? Help him know what it means and looks like
The Ministry of Provision
men are to provide everything our family will need; physically, emotionally, etc.
not a dominating—if it is, it is defective

2. A Man’s Purpose

God’s way versus our way
v.12 generation pure in its own eyes
an enmity against God maybe more than it ever has been.
God is a faithful Judge; he gets the call right all the time
v.13 lofty eyes— a generation in conceit
v.14 generation whose teeth are like swords
we are seeing that boys and girls don’t grow up with a model of Biblical manhood
a real man excels at God’s work
God created Adam to work
A real man of God betters God’s world
Jesus knows all about death; that’s why he is so good at resurrection power.
Manhood always brings life
Government has become God
the Church has
don’t raise teenage girls; raise virtuous young women
We are responsible to build godly young women and young men.
‘“A boy will be what a boy can see.”
“Boys will be boys.” BUT they don’t have to be
If we can help boys learn to be
complacent; disconnected; lacking; passive; distracted; defeated; complex---the LARGEST, UNENGAGED PEOPLE GROUP IN AMERICA
43 PERCENT OF MILLENNIAL WERE RAISED BY A SINGLE PARENT.
5 PERCENT IN 1960
1 OUT OF 10 MEN HAVE A BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW
the godly man has come to an end

3. A Man’s Power

v.9 revival is costly; it will cost you more to miss it than it will to find it

v.9 revival is costly; it will cost you more to miss it than it will to find it
a movement in your dad or husband’s life is costly. it is going to cost you
it will cost you more to miss it than it will to find it
—Moses is done
heavy, supported, steady
heavy—oppressing Moses
supported— “take hold of” they took hold of the man of God
steady— they secured him; then, he was able to be faithful and trustworthy again. he was DEPENDABLE
When you’re born, you look like your parents. When you die, you look like your decisions.
