THE SYNERGY OF PRAYER

Deuteronomy 32:30 KJV 1900

30 How should one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Except their Rock had sold them, And the Lord had shut them up?

Synergy is a fascinating concept. Think of it this way. Synergy is a multiplication of power through combined effort. In the physical world in most cases one plus one equals two. But, when people work together the concept changes. When two or more people combine their efforts and strengths, power is multiplied - not just added. God loves unity and agreement so much that He created a phenomenon though which power multiplies if we will simply work together!

Here is how it works!

Synergy does not just operate in the natural realm it also exists in the spiritual realm. Let’s take Prayer for example. Spiritual synergy occurs when two or more come together as one and agree in prayer. And the result is this: Through the multiplied power of prayer much more is accomplished than it would of been if one person had just prayed alone by him or herself.

Leviticus 26:8–13 KJV 1900

8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. 9 For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you. 10 And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new. 11 And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you. 12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people. 13 I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

v. 7, 8. They are assured that the hand of God should appear with them in their conquests : Five of you shall have courage to attack, and strength to chase and defeat, a hundred, as Jonathan did (), experiencing the truth of his own maxim (v. 6),

SENTENCE [TP and an hundred of you TP] shall put ten thousand to flight:

In the spiritual world when people work together,

v. 9. Thus the promise made to Abraham must be fulfilled, that his seed should be as the dust of the earth; and much more numerous they would have been if they had by their sin cut themselves short. It is promised to the gospel church that it shall be fruitful, . 5.

SENTENCE and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

SENTENCE For I will have respect unto you,

Look at verse 8 () “And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight”

Mathematically this makes no sense! Think about it, If five of us can chase a hundred, that means each of us is responsible for twenty. at that rate a hundred should chase two thousand and not ten thousand.

SENTENCE and make you fruitful,

Mathematically it makes no sense but spiritually, that’s powerful! Something unusual in the natural but usual in the supernatural takes place through the power of agreement and unity. Synergy - When we agree in prayer our power grows exponentially.

This is Synergy This is synergistic prayer. You can agree with the person next to you and multiply power.

SENTENCE and multiply you,

The bible says: Matthew 18:18 ‹! Verily !› ‹ I say unto you, › [TP Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth TP] shall be bound in heaven:

SENTENCE and [TP whatsoever ye shall loose on earth TP] shall be loosed in heaven.

SENTENCE Again ‹ I say unto you, › That [CD if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing CD] [TP that they shall ask, TP] it shall be done for them of my Father ‹ which is in heaven. ›

SUPPORT [LD For where two or three are gathered together in my name, LD] ‹❐ there ❐› am I in the midst of them. ″

Synergy also occurs when generations connect. Honoring Parents multiplies our years on earth ( Children, obey your parents in the Lord:

SUPPORT for this is right.

SENTENCE Honour thy father and mother;

SUB-POINT (which is the first commandment with promise;)

SUB-POINT That it may be well with thee,

SUB-POINT and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Disconnecting from them brings curses. () And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children,

ELABORATION And the heart of the children to their fathers,

SUB-POINT Lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. ″

Spiritual Mantles, another word for callings and giftings, multiply in effectiveness through generational synergy. () And it came to pass, when they were gone over,  that Elijah  said unto Elisha,

SENTENCE ‶ Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. ″

SENTENCE And Elisha said,

SENTENCE ‶ I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. ″

God’s plans is always for the present generation to build on the strengths of the previous. This is the synergy of the ages. Multiplied power through generational agreement and honor.

So synergistic prayer = you can agree with the person next to you and multiply power! and you can agree with the generation behind you and generational synergy the synergy of the ages.

Tell the old stories. What God did in the past! an awakening occurrs!

our generation’s role is in history is to simply another act of yesterday’s play: our battles are conflicts of one ongoing war. Every revival in history is but a sequel in the Holy Spirit’s ongoing series of outpourings, and every soul saved enters the same spiritual family. Our stories though many are one.

Put your self in the story line. the old stories acturally are your stories. !

Synergy not segmentation!

in the past we view the past moves of God as something to be taken out of a box and dusted off from time to time but!

we don’t think of them as something we can agree with in prayer, connect to, or draw strength from! What if we thought of the Azusza movement as our movement! Our short sighted reasonings has stolen from us the synergy of the ages. We have not put ourselves in the storyline. Since we don’t typically align with past movements or agree with past prayers, this has all too often led to the segmentation of the ages, forcing each generation’ intercession and effort to stand on it’s own. Actually, the results are more devastating than taht: God says that when the generations disconnect it can create a curse.

However putting ourselves into the storyline God is writing , allows us to tap into the strength and life of what He did years ago. We begin to understand the eternal purposes of God not just the purposes we feel are for our present time. He then can continue through us what He began in some one else. And again according to they can finally see their promise fulfilled.

14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. 15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

2 kings 2:14-15

Like Elijah’s servant, Elisha The power he needed today was hidden in his yesterday.
