Ecclesiastes 3:7 CSB
a time to tear and a time to sew; a time to be silent and a time to speak;
Ecclesiastes
The majority of us know there’s a time to be silent and a time to speak, we’re just not very good at discerning those times.
God has nothing against our ability to speak. He created each of us with the ability to speak. He gave us a mouth and a tongue. He gave us a voice and He wants us to use our voices!
God tells us to use our voices...
to expose the unfruitful works of darkness ()
to tell the truth about Jesus’ love & forgiveness ()
to defend the rights of the poor and needy ()
to confess him as Lord ()
to speak for those others won’t listen to ()
to sing to God ()
to teach others spiritual truth ()
to build others up ()
to gently guide someone back on the right path ()
to pray & to praise ()
to deescalate a tense situation ()

There’s a time for silence.

Leviticus 10:1–3 CSB
Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu each took his own firepan, put fire in it, placed incense on it, and presented unauthorized fire before the Lord, which he had not commanded them to do. Then fire came from the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord. Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord has spoken: I will demonstrate my holiness to those who are near me, and I will reveal my glory before all the people.” And Aaron remained silent.

God rewards those who take time to listen.
