Since I started driving Bus I have leaned a lot.
Psalm 8:2 NLT
You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.
Matthew 21:16 NLT
They asked Jesus, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” “Yes,” Jesus replied. “Haven’t you ever read the Scriptures? For they say, ‘You have taught children and infants to give you praise.’”
Matthew
I love listening to children they think of some of the coolest things. And ask some of the best questions?
like How could we come from Monkey’s if God created both? or were there dinosaurs in the Garden of Eden?
Of course not all their questions are so profound.
Why
Why do you have an orange coat?
But why orange?
Why why why
That why question is a never ending question.
But they are legitimate questions none the less.
In fact those who do not understand us will often ask why...

Why do we Worship God?

Matthew 21:12–17 NLT
Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out all the people buying and selling animals for sacrifice. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves. He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves!” The blind and the lame came to him in the Temple, and he healed them. The leading priests and the teachers of religious law saw these wonderful miracles and heard even the children in the Temple shouting, “Praise God for the Son of David.” But the leaders were indignant. They asked Jesus, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” “Yes,” Jesus replied. “Haven’t you ever read the Scriptures? For they say, ‘You have taught children and infants to give you praise.’” Then he returned to Bethany, where he stayed overnight.
Matthew 21:12-
Luke 19:36–40 NLT
As he rode along, the crowds spread out their garments on the road ahead of him. When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen. “Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!” But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!” He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!”

HE DESERVES IT!!!

ME: What would you say If I asked you, why do we, as a society, celebrate mother’s day? For most of us it is because we believe our mothers deserve the recognition? I mean who else cleans up poo and puke with a smile on their face? Shoot this past week I have been downed due to a man cold, but my wife got that same cold and she has managed to keep the household going. That has to be worth at least one day a year of recognition, and no one questions that.
We: Yet for a large number of the world’s population they can not figure out why on earth we would worship and invisible Deity to which they themselves are not convinced exists. To those who don’t believe, our dedication to gathering together on a weekly basis or multiple times a week to offer up worship to God makes little to no sense.
For them it seems like a waste of time, which is ironic as many would use that same time sleeping, or chasing after false gods like Mammon, or worshiping men on a sports team. Yet to them what we do makes no sense.
God: This was the problem the Pharisees and teachers of the law had. See they believed and rightly so that God and God alone was worthy of worship. The Problem was they did not believe that Jesus was God and so for them, Jesus allowing these people to worship Him especially these children without rebuking them was blasphemy.
So they told Jesus to shut it down. I love Jesus response..
Matthew 21:16 NLT
They asked Jesus, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” “Yes,” Jesus replied. “Haven’t you ever read the Scriptures? For they say, ‘You have taught children and infants to give you praise.’”
Matthew 21:
You know this was not the only time. When Jesus was rinding into Jerusalem....
Luke 19:40 NLT
He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!”
What Jesus was communicating is not only would He not stop it, what they were doing was right so much that if they stopped inanimate objects would take their place.
Why Because Jesus is the King, and was and is still worthy of praise.
The Pharisees were not completely wrong God along is worthy of our Worship, and there is only One God. Where they were wrong is that there is One God in three Persons,

Father, Son and Holy Spirit

These 3 are God and the three are 1
This is a great mystery yet the truth remains there is one God in three distinct Persons Father Son and Holy Spirit.
These three in One has always been and is worthy of all praise and Worship. Why?
Because He are God
God Created the Heavens and the Earth
God Created us
And When We turned from Him to sin, God didn’t give up on us
God sent the Son to die on the cross for our sins so that all might be saved, if only...
God rose from the dead
When the Son went back to join the Father the Holy Spirit came to be with us
So God dwells inside those who believe in Him.
You: What is it I want you to get from all this. First Mother’s deserve more than one day a year.
We: But the reason We worship God is because He deserve our worship ever second of every day of every year because He is God and He is good.
Next Step: Let us worship.
