Look at me! Look at me! Toddler wants to be seen.

Accept that you are seen. Jesus Is calling us to maturity. We have seen that the Father sees us and we can now be about the business of seeing others.

Be Different

you are Different because of what Jesus has done for you on the cross.

2 Corinthians 5:17 HCSB

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.

Because of this reality you should be concerned only about the things that concern your nature. Jesus.

Galatians 6:14–15 HCSB

14 But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world. 15 For both circumcision and uncircumcision mean nothing; what matters instead is a new creation.

What Matters now....is a new Creation

We are to Be Different: Not seeking the approval of men or God really. We are new creations so that we should be

Matthew 6:1 HCSB

1 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of people, to be seen by them. Otherwise, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

Do not do good deeds for the sake of being seen by others. God knows your actions.

5 “Whenever you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by people. I assure you: They’ve got their reward!

Do not pray so others will see you.

16 “Whenever you fast, don’t be sad-faced like the hypocrites. For they make their faces unattractive so their fasting is obvious to people. I assure you: They’ve got their reward!

Don’t fast to be seen by others.

See Different

The Blind rider: “I can’t see you.” Once the person saw me, he stopped looking at everything around him and was able to navigate the chaos of the street to get to me.

Matthew 6:22–23 HCSB

22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light within you is darkness—how deep is that darkness!

What you value says what you are. The more you embrace your relationship with Jesus. The more you understand that you are seen by him the less you will need to say “look at me daddy” and the more you will be transformed to one who knows he is seen and can now turn safely and see others.

Because you are a new Creation you have new eyes. So what Jesus was teaching in the sermon on the mount carried lofty ideas on the day he spoke however, when Matthew took to parchment with the thoughts he was seeing different.

Once you are connected it’s safe to walk. You van navigate the traffic of life to get to your safe ride home.
