"Despite your weakness find strength in the promises of God."
Some Background to what is going on in the life of Gideon which we find out about in verses 1-10
Midian is oppressing Gideon and the people of God.
This once mighty people are living in dens and caves in the mountains.
in Verse 4 we learn that the Midianites were devouring the land and laying waste to it.
And the people of Israel are crying out to the Lord.
And God sends an unnamed prophet to them speaking of how he saved them from the Egyptians in time past.
And this Prophet of the Lord declares “ But You have not obeyed my voice.”
And here is the weakness of the people of God
And here is the weakness of you and me in verse 10 “ But You have not obeyed my Voice” The Lord declares”

1. Despite your weakness God is with you and gives strength. verses 11-16
God comes to Christ and God is going to call Gideon out of his weakness of unbelief and gives him the ability and strength to believe.
2. Despite your weakness God points you to himself and restores fellowship. verses 17-21
God will restore fellowship to Gideon to come to him and follow him.
God declares Gideon to be a mighty man despite his unbelief in himself and God
3. Despite your weakness God gives the believer peace. verses 22-24
Despite Gideon’s unbelief God is going to call him to himself, restore fellowship, and give him peace.
God will declare peace in verse 24.
God is Jehovah Shalom.
