"Despite your weakness find strength in the promises of God."

Isn’t it tempting to see God like we want him to be, rather than how he has revealed himself?
“I recall my life before Christ in 2003 I was serving in the USAF refueling Aircraft my wife Amanda was deployed oversees to Cutter.
And I was contemplating Islam and the false God Allah to follow. I had gone to the Mosque with a Master sergeant friend of mine who had lent me a video which said that Christ was only a man and that Mohamed was God’s prophet.
You see I was committing the sin of idolatry and remaking God in an image that fit my then understanding.
And this is what I had done because
I did not know truly who Jesus Christ was.
I had reduced him to being just a good man as the Muslims taught me.
Now you see I had been baptised by my parents and raised in the Methodist church and even completed what they called my first communion in Strongsville OH.
And this is where we find Gideon he new of the mighty acts that God had done for his Fathers in the Past.
And I new of what the the Bible taught about God from my Methodist church and confirmation class.
We see how Gideon is thinking in Verse 13 And Gideon said to him, “Please, my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all his wonderful deeds that our fathers recounted to us, saying, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the Lord has forsaken us and given us into the hand of Midian.”
I know what the Lord has taught in the Bible. But did it really happen Did Christ really come to die for me or was he just a man?
Gideon new of promises of God and How his Fathers had been delivered ought of Egypt.
But Gideon did not know Christ personally yet.
And Christ is calling him out of his sin and the sin his fathers house has fallen into WORSHIPING Bale.
But Gideon and his Fathers house are worshiping Bail and have turned away from the God that called his fathers out of Egypt.
And God called me out of my sin by a preacher at a Baptist church in Arkansas who asked me if I wanted to follow Chirst and if I believed he was who he said he is.
The Christ the Son of God the one who has come and who has accomplished the redeeming of his people.
So Despite Gideon's Weakness and Despite my weakness and Despite your weakens.

God enables us to believe and find strength in the promises of God."
