The Lords Prayer
Lets break this down.
Jesus Told us that we should pray like this, he doesn’t say that we have to say the prayer the way he said it.
He said this is a example for us.
Just like everything else we have looked at, Jesus gives us examples
Here God is showing us that we should pray that God’s will be done here not our own.
So often its easy to sit there and pray that God gives us what we want in life.
But we forget to ask God what he wants for our lives and how he wants us to live it.
To let him reign in our lives and direct us.
I think the Choice of words that Jesus uses here is interesting.
He doesn’t say we should pray for abundance or a lot of wealth.
He said give us our daily bread or our daily needs.
Tomorrow is never promised we need to trust God to provide for our needs today.
This makes us relay on him more and more.
Matthew
When we brake this down.
It showing us we are to forgive others in our lives, if you want God to forgive us.
I know this one can be very hard for some of us.
its hard for me at times.
But we are called to forgive Just as God forgave us.
Let me be clear God does not do the tempting.
But he does allow us to go through struggles and temptation.
He wants us to pick him in all that we do.
