There Is Only One Path To The Father!
There Is Only One Path To The Father!
Oprah Winfrey, asked the question, “Does God care about your heart or does God care if you call on His Son Jesus?
The answer to both of those questions are Yes.
The reason she asked this question was made clear when she made the statement that, “Jesus was not the only way to Heaven and to our Heavenly Father.” She stated that there are many paths to God, Jesus is not the only way.”
Now I know she knows how to produce talk shows, but she know nothing about what the King James 1611 Bible has to say.
Jesus Christ Himself told us that He is the only way to the Father.
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John
Jesus makes it very clear that He is the only way to Heaven and to the Father.
If you listen to people like Oprah Winfrey, and you believe what she says, then she is leading you straight to hell’s gates.
Jesus Christ is the only way to the Heavenly Father and a eternity in Heaven.
Anything else will lead you straight to hell.
You can’t get there by being good.
You can’t get there by works
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
My friends Salvation is free to all that ask and receives it.
The Bible in the book of Genesis chapter 4 talks about two types of Salvation's.
Gen
1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.
2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.
4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
6 And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
The first salvation in .
Cain introduces the Salvation by Works.
3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.
Genesis
The second salvation in
Able introduces the Salvation by Blood Sacrifice.
4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
Notice here that Cain’s Salvation by works is rejected.
Genesis 4:5
5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
6 And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
We can also look in the New Testament and find that God rejects Salvation by Works.
12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
1 John
Let me reassure you you can have a relationship with the Father, But only believing and thrusting in God’s Son Jesus Christ who came to earth born of a virgin.
Beaten, crucified, Died on the cross as our perfect blood sacrifice.
Rose again on the third day, ascended to heaven to be on the right hand God.
Making intercession for us, and is coming back soon to rapture his church up.
That is the truth, it’s Biblical and can be proven.
Let me give you 5 Steps to Accepting Jesus Christ.
You must realize that you are a sinner.
The Bible Says, If we say we haven’t then we are a lier and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:8-
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Must realize that there is a penalty for your sins
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
You Must realize that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sins on the cross.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
You must acknowledge that Jesus Christ wants to give you the free gift of Eternal Life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
You must acknowledge that Jesus Christ wants to give you the free gift of Eternal Life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Finally you must believe on the name of Jesus Christ and accept him as your personal savior.
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
It is a very simple process, all you have to is bow your head and pray, and ask Jesus in your heart.
If you don’t know Him, I’m pleading with you this morning to know Him before it’s too late.
