Introduction

Illustration: Spider-Man: Far From Home
The school organizes a two-week summer field trip to Europe, where Peter Parker—still mourning the death of his mentor and father figure Tony Stark—plans to confess his growing feelings for classmate MJ. Happy Hogan informs Parker that Fury intends to contact him, but Parker ignores the call.
Parker and his classmates travel to Venice, Italy, where the Water Elemental attacks. Parker helps protect his classmates while Beck arrives and destroys the creature. Fury meets with Parker and gives him Stark's glasses, which were meant for his successor. The glasses are equipped with the artificial intelligence E.D.I.T.H., which has access to Stark Industries' databases and commands a large orbital weapons supply. Beck claims to hail from an alternate reality within the Multiverse, where the Elementals killed his family. He now predicts that the Fire Elemental will appear in Prague. Parker declines Fury's invitation to join Beck's fight against the Elementals and returns to his class trip.
Fury secretly changes the school trip's itinerary so Parker will be directed to Prague, and there Parker is forced to help fight the Fire Elemental to again protect his friends. Beck is able to destroy the Fire Elemental with Parker's help. Fury and Hill invite Parker and Beck to Berlin to discuss the formation of a new superhero team, but Parker decides that Beck should go alone and bequeaths him the E.D.I.T.H. glasses.
He bequeaths Beck his inheritance from his father figure, Tony Stark

In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

Body- Pauls Methodology Of Prayer For The Saints

Glorious And Supernatural Reason For Prayer

God’s Supernatural Spiritual Blessings
Genuine Faith of the saints
Expressed Love Toward All The Saints
Psalm 116:1 ESV
1 I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy.
(Paul is not just randomly praying- Paul is praying with a reason that is a...)

Spiritually Guided Manner Of Prayer

Unceasing Effort
Ephesians 6:12 ESV
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12
With Thanksgiving
(How does it feel for someone to tell you that they thank the LORD for you?)
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 ESV
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians
Remembering
(Not forgetting to pray for the saints- knowing the specifics of what they need because no Christian is a super Christian)
Romans 3:21–24 ESV
21 But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— 22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Romans 3:22–24 ESV
22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Luke 22:31–34 ESV
31 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, 32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” 33 Peter said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death.” 34 Jesus said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow this day, until you deny three times that you know me.”
Luke 22:31-32

Spiritually Substantive Content Of Prayer

Paul does not pray for more money, horses, houses, and elimination of enemies for the church/saints at Ephesus

Request for Spiritual Wisdom

2 Timothy 1:6–7 ESV
6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7
2 Timothy 2:15
2 Timothy 2:15 ESV

2 Timothy 3:14–16 ESV
14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

Expecting A Heart Revealing Outcome Of Prayer

Having The Eyes of Your Heart Hope

Ephesians 1:18 ESV
18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
God’s Glorious Inheritance
God’s Immeasurable Power
Psalm 119:11-12

11 I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. 12 Blessed are you, O Lord; teach me your statutes!
Psalm 119:9–15 ESV
9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. 10 With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! 11 I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. 12 Blessed are you, O Lord; teach me your statutes! 13 With my lips I declare all the rules of your mouth. 14 In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all riches. 15 I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.
Psalm 119:9-
Psalm 119:105 ESV
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Luke 6:43–45 ESV
43 “For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, 44 for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. 45 The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Transition To Conclusion

Luke 6:43-45
That’s why the Apostle Paul can say in Romans chapter 8
Romans 8:24–25 ESV
24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Romans 8:23–25 ESV
23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Romans 8
Romans 8:26–28 ESV
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
That’s Paul can say in chapter 3 of Ephesians
Romans 8:26
Ephesians 3:20–21 ESV
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
(Now I know you are thinking or asking…)

Transition To Close

Illustration: Even Dead, I'm The Hero
"E.D.I.T.H. stands for "Even Dead, I'm The Hero".
And then the Apostle Paul says, church!
Now, I’m talking about the Lily in the Valley
I’m talking about the Rose of Sharon
I’m talking about the Bright & Morning Star
I’m talking about the Good Shepherd
I’m taking about the gate or door to your salvation
I’m talking about the Breath of Life
I’m talking about the Light of the World
I’m talking about the Resurrection
I’m talking about Lamb of God
I’m talking about the Great I am
Isaiah said it this way:
Isaiah 53:5 ESV
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
Isaiah 53
And then the Apostle Paul says, church!
If you want to better know or understand the immeasurable greatness of God’s power toward those who believe
Ephesians 1:20–23 ESV
20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
Ephesians 1:20
So if you want to know God’s great might
Then look no further than the cross of Jesus Christ
Illustration: At the Cross
Alas! and did my Savior bleed And did my Sov'reign die? Would He devote that sacred head For such a worm as I?
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light And the burden of my heart rolled away It was there by faith I received my sight And now I am happy all the day
Was it for crimes that I had done He groaned upon the tree? Amazing pity! grace unknown! And love beyond degree!
Well might the sun in darkness hide And shut his glories in When Christ, , the mighty Maker died For man the creature's sin
Thus might I hide my blushing face While His dear cross appears Dissolve my heart in thankfulness And melt my eyes to tears
Thus might I hide my blushing face While His dear cross appears Dissolve my heart in thankfulness And melt my eyes to tears
But drops of grief can ne'er repay The debt of love I owe Here, Lord, I give myself away 'Tis all that I can do
But drops of grief can ne'er repay The debt of love I owe Here, Lord, I give myself away 'Tis all that I can do
(all shucks, now my soul has gotten happy)
(oh I want to shut up, but it’s like fire shut up in my bones)
