Partnering With God For A Miracle

Ahaz and Hezekiah

Ahaz...

a. Did evil in the sight of God

b. Worshiped idols & sacrificed his sons

c. Caused Judah to be captured, plundered and occupied again and again.

Hezeakiah...

a. Shared his heart with the people immediately & began to make changes

b. This heart change was seen in their efforts to cast out the idols, restore the temple, make sacrifices, consecrate themselves to the Lord, and worship in unity

c. In just 16 days of Hezekiah reigning, things turned around. It was a suddenly!

The right Question is not, “Is God Able?”

God restored 16 years of havoc is 16 days.

A heart for God attracts His attention.

As long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.

Hezekiah’s Heart

Humble - he didn’t make excuses, blameshift, shirk responsibility - He took responsibility for the problem at hand and took action – He did what he could do.

Consecrated - set apart for the Lord. Turns to fully living for Him.

We are Called To Rule And Reign - God wants us to rule and reign like Hezekiah did.

Rule in a Godly way that would point others to Jesus and inspire them.

Whether you are in a problem or not, this is for you, God wants to do suddenlies all around us. Miracles are not just for us, they are to bring glory and honor to God.

It’s how we rule on earth. We establish Godly order around us.

Altar Call - What suddenlies does God want to do in and around our lives?

Let’s be those people when God scans the earth, He sees a heart fully committed to Him.

Let’s go higher with God, and re-consecrate our lives to Him,

Let’s ask Him to mold and shape our hearts into hearts He can use.

Let’s be those living sacrifices.

Let’s believe for and expect the suddenlies and watch what God does.
