Who is connected?

Followers of Jesus
Those in the crowd
Disciples (Feeding of the five thousand…on the boat)
Men, Women, Children
Peter (on the boat)
Those of little faith

What is connected?

Faith becoming sight
People’s lives to Jesus
Jesus turns five loaves and two fish in enough food to feed thousands (5000 men + women and children)
Jesus walking on water
You see Peter’s faith connected as he begins walking on water...
Peter began to doubt when the wind picked up, he took his eyes off of Jesus.

When are we connected?

at the moment of salvation
Day by day as we grow in our relationship with Christ
In a desolate place
in the crowd
on the boat
in the water
in the storm (the wind)

Where are we connected?

Everywhere we go, at home, at church, in private, etc
in a desolate place
in the crowd
on the boat
in the water
in the storm (wind)

Why are we connected?

To be connected to the vine and then connecting others with Christ.
to see it is all about Jesus (Jesus made it possible for the masses to be served.
to grow in our faith (disciples wanting to send crowd away, Jesus tells them otherwise)
so we are not afraid (take heart, it is I, do not be afraid)
because we doubt (o you of little faith)
Because He is the Son of God.

What drives your faith? Two faith driving mechanisms from (Faith out of need…faith out of fear…)
Need…is God your need…or is it in something else, i need to check my phone, i need to check the news, i need to read the newspaper, etc.
Fear…Do you trust God when things get hard…do you look at objects that test our faith as moments of difficulty, or moments that draw us closer to Him?
Trust God in times of need…not the mechanic.
Fix your eyes on God…even when your afraid.
