Value His Voice

We are in week 4 of our series “Frequency” tune in… hear God
This series is to help you to hear the voice of God in your everyday life.
Why would a God who created you with ears and the ability to communicate not speak with you?
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me
Week 1 - I’am a sheep - innate - learned and matured
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
Week 1 - I’am a sheep - innate - learned and matured
Week 1 - I’am a sheep - innate - learned and matured
Week 2- I’m a friend - God wants to be personal with you - God speaks to people - God speaks to His friends
Week 3 - I’am a prophet - All can prophesy - prophesy isn’t manipulative - prophecy exhorts and encourages and comforts...
So I want you to understand these foundational truths so you know you have a right you have the opportunity and you have means to communicate with God… everyone does
So this week I will give you 4 practical steps to actually hearing God
The title this week is “ Value His Voice “
Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days;
Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days;
The word rare here translated in Hebrew is Precious / Valuable - this diamond is rare, making it more valuable
So here are 4 things to do as you value God’s voice...
1. Set an appointment.
1. Set an appointment.

10 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes. 11 And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the LORD will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

19 And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice.

God comes to a prepared atmosphere.
God comes to a prepared atmosphere. Just like God prepared a time and a place to meet with Moses and speak to him, we can prepare a time and a place to meet with God to hear His voice.
Just like God prepared a time and a place to meet with Moses and speak to him, we can prepare a time and a place to meet with God to hear His voice.
If we value something we will make time for it and even schedule it, if you don’t make an appointment it will always lead to disappointment
Imagine if you came to church and no one was at the door and the lights were off and there was no heat and no teachers and I hadn’t read and studied the word
Eventually you would not show up because you would feel we didn’t want you here....
How can you want to hear from God yet never set a time to do so?
Set a date set a time and set a place....
There are certain days that no matter what you won’t be able to reach me or set an appointment because I set my times alone with God
When you value the voice of God, you will make a commitment to spend time with Him.
When you value the voice of God, you will make a commitment to spend time with Him. By providing a time and a place to meet with Him, you can prepare an atmosphere to hear His voice.
By providing a time and a place to meet with Him, you can prepare an atmosphere to hear His voice.
You will prioritize what valuable to you… value His voice
2 Be still and worship.
Be still and worship. The most important thing we can do is be still and worship, before praying and reading the Bible. God even fights our battles during our times of stillness and worship.

17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.”
21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever.” 22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. 23 For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another. 24 So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped.

Set the atmosphere… it changes everything....
We often skip this step and going into prayer but this step is vital in hearing God
God inhabits the praise of His people…
We often wants a Santa Claus relationship with God… here is my list please get me what I want
This step helps us focus (glasses) on who He is and not what we want....
3.Pray and read.
I am going to show you what to pray and where to read ok ....
Pray and read. We can begin prayer with whatever is on our heart. After we give God our burden, we’re able to go further with Him and hear His voice. Then, read any Scripture in an easy-to-understand Bible translation.

The most practical way to hear God is to read Scripture and then write what you believe God is saying.
“Write the vision
You will then start to understand what God is speaking to you through the passage.
And make it plain on tablets,
It really isn’t that hard to do…
