Morning again.

before we get into

Hebrews 13, we've had a perc Wes come to us as Elders. We're going to pray over that just in a minute. There is husband Justin's. The gnosis and his back and he's been out of work almost a month. I'm going to pray for them. That's a real bumpy way to start off a marriage. You want to pray for that marriage to to be strengthened in this and in for him to be well again, and then get back to work cuz that's rough. It was just bound a time of corporate prayer for for Justin. Probably just come to you again. Thank you so much. Thank you for being a God. Who does he only god of? Doctor Who is the great physician. I probably what I'm going to pray for Justin carries marriage. We want to pray that through this Rocky Mount start that they would be strengthened. They would draw closer to you that they would know that you are the god. Creator and founder of the universe Perfecter of our faith probably pray specifically for Justin and healing in his back. That is that is our desire. Our desire is that if he has not miraculous healing that he knows you and he comes to you and he sees your strength working in his life. We pray Lord that that would be the case that this will be a time for him to see who God really is and it just you would lift him up that way that you would bless him with that healing that he may know you and be able to strengthen his marriage through you probably just asked at this via in your will and if it is in your will be done father. If it's not then I was prey closer to your well at all times and seek it out just asked you would bless them bring them for your sake and For Your Glory in Jesus name. Amen. We are in Hebrews chapter 13 today. It is the end of the letter to the Hebrews. It's it's interesting like it felt. I know the person I were talking about it as we were studying together some and then just going to look into it. Up until about this point the the the letter to the Hebrews his felt like a a sermon manuscript in some regards to get to chapter 13 kind of chapter 12 and I'll send it starts feeling like a a letter again and there's some interesting things that kind of happen is we're into this. We realised a lots of neat little things that start to pop up that are I don't know if you're a study nerd like I am that you had to go that's fun. And then see how those moments of that kind of thing is is I'm looking out of it that's for me later and we can get to that if I can but those are nuggets her or sprinkled throughout scripture. Anyway, so we'll we'll go ahead let's just go ahead and dive right into Hebrews chapter 13. Brotherly Love continue do not neglect to show Hospitality to strangers for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember those who are in prison as those in prison with them and those were mistreated since also are in one body. Let marriage be held in honor among all and let the marriage bed be undefiled forgot to judge the sexually immoral and adulterous keep your life free from Love of Money and be content with what you have where you said, I will never leave you or forsake you so we can confidently say the Lord is my helper. I will not fear what can man do to me. Remember your leaders those who spoke to you the word of God consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Do not be led Away by diverse and strange teachings weird is good for the heart to be strengthened by Grace not by Foods. Which have not benefited those devoted to them? We have an altar from which those who serve the 10th have no right to eat for the bodies of the those animals whose blood is brought into the holy places by the high priests as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp. To Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood. Therefore. Let us go to him outside the camp and bear the reproach he endured or he or he have Try that one again first year. We have no lasting City but we see the city that is to come through him. Let him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise praise of praise to God that is the fruit of the lips that acknowledge his name do not neglect to do good and to share what you have for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. Obey your leaders and submit to them for they are keeping watch over your souls as those who have those those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with running for that would be of no advantage to you. Pray for us for we sure we are sure that we have a clear conscience Desiring to act honorably and all things. I heard you the more earnestly to do this that I may be restored to you the sooner now may the God of Peace brought again from the dead the our lord Jesus the great Shepherd of the Sheep by the blood of the Eternal Covenant equip you with every good that you will do may do his will working in US. That which is pleasing in his sight through Jesus Christ to him be the glory forever. And ever. Amen. I appealed you Brothers bear my word of exhortation for I have written to you briefly. You should know that our brother Timothy has been released with whom I shall see you if he comes soon read all all your leaders and all the saints those who come from Italy send you greetings brace be with you.

Father we thank you for your word. Are we thank you for

you being a God who reveals himself to us through your word others. We close out this this sermon series in the book of Hebrews. We pray that you would continue to speak to us that we see over and over and over again that Jesus is better. But that's that's really the theme through here while I asked it as we go into today's message that you would put me aside that you would speak in spite of me. That heart should be opened. Why is it be changed? Thank you for your word father. God let this time that we have to hear it.

glory for you It's in your name. I pray.

Chapter 13 of Hebrews is a wrap-up it is this time of of kind of him saying, goodbye wrapping up everything hosing off the letter everything up to this point has been really almost a Systematic Theology of Christ. It's been this very piece-by-piece kind of way of walking through everything that the preachers walked us through why Jesus is better than Abraham why he's better than the Old Testament. Why is better than Angels? Why is better than Moses? Why is better than milk is a deck why Jesus was better than the old Covenant why he was better than the promised land and why was better than Jerusalem. We've seen all these things kind of laid out in this in this letter that we have we've learned why Jesus is better than the Tabernacle my Jesus even better than the temple and we've seen that our faith in Jesus Christ Alone brings us to Salvation and nothing else this very systematic approach the bringing us through all of this. Now there's a there's kind of a shift in writing style. Like I was saying earlier, it feels much less like a sermon manuscript or textbook even and now supposed to feel like a letter you get that kind of the warm in the greetings in the in the fuzzies that go along with it and it closes like a very typical New Testament letter finalight sortation some final remarks. Greetings to people that we may or may not know throughout it. I I find it interesting that the LIE of the author here brings up Timothy. Okay, so you must have known Timothy somewhere along the line and gives us a clue. We're talking and in small group this morning that if he's mentioning Timothy by name here. That means it Timothy's probably not the author so we can scratch that one off a list of who might have written the book of Hebrews. But all of these things are kind of very typical of the New Testament letter and how it closes out in the greetings of would be there verses 1 through 19 of this passage are really very similar in tone and theme Romans chapter 12 those of us that that have studied through that that's a huge that the idea here. Is that our actions on our sacrifices that our actions we have our sacrifices before holding just got that our daily lives every Monday nothing we do. Really is an act of worship. Now that that's hard for us to understand sometimes that but it is there that we are called as as Believers in Christ do even the simplest tasks that we do to do them for him to do them in his name to for his glory for his benefit as well as in ours after the fact

if we call ourselves Christians, we should understand that our lives are not our own right we have been bought and paid for that that we were bought paperwork for a high price. That was the price of the blood of Jesus Christ that that we have surrendered all of our rights over to him that we are not ours and in this that the preacher here uses this chunk of scripture to remind us of some very specific ways that we show that we are owned by Jesus and we have surround surrendered Our Lives over to him. He opens it up with continuing and brotherly love. I think of this and it's kind of thing cuz as Christians as Believers as a local body of church, we should be kind of a Motley group of people who look to have absolutely nothing in common. You know what? I want I think about just around the room, you know, there's there's some some Oddball stuff going around. We've got some I'm not saying that in a bad way chief of all the oddballs. I mean, I'm not going to deny that but I mean there's there's some interesting things are going wrong. We've got a lot of folks were involved in maintenance and understand maintenance issues and Bruce and jachin and even Mom with her run in the maintenance department. I know they said Sam Ahrens did but really it was mom for years. She understood how all that stuff works. Lisa's a chainsaw repairman. Like I know she's good stuff. I've got mine at work. So I'm glad it works. I don't have to take it to her. But those sorts of things are okay. We got teachers in there. We've got nurses in the room. We've got it people we got it some Motley Crue. Like it looks like if you were to just look at it and take a snapshot. There's absolutely nothing. Any of us have in common with one another except for one thing Jesus Christ.

Books, that's what the kingdom should look like a big Motley Crue of messy people that have been cleaned up by Jesus Christ.

Brotherly love that we show should be so puzzling. So confusing so peculiar to the world that it would make absolutely no sense to them except there's something else deeper than they don't understand.

People should see us in Ennis is peculiar Love in This peculiar kinship that makes no sense to them that that love for one another where there is no obvious reason to even like one another should Point people that Jesus that are Brotherly Love is a gospel message. Pink reached out in our lives and we should be doing that but that's so chunky talks about his hospitality.

Hospitality here is answering the phone when you don't know the number anymore, right? We we have gotten ourselves or we are pretty isolated. I if it's not that long ago that I remember the phone kids. This is weird. So listen for your moms and dads. This was how life work that that your phone is attached to the wall in the kitchen. Real and when it rang you didn't look for caller ID, you went ahead and answered it just in case it was somebody you wanted to talk to this is how it really worked and end if you're one of those really lucky kids you had a really long cord to let you sit in the living room while the phone is attached to the wall in the kitchen. Otherwise, you had a chair set aside in your kitchen to talk to people and you had to sit there right but we don't do that anymore. I am as guilty as anybody else the phone rings. Anybody know anybody from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. I don't I'm not answering that. You know what you know what I mean heaven forbid the door knock. How many of you guys think you have a heart attack any more of the door knocks, we we have isolated ourselves to the point that this verse means something to us. It should Hospitality in Middle Eastern culture was huge. Like if you still do this day and in Muslim culture hospitalities big that that you cannot enter into a home, even if you're not a fellow believer if they're friendly toward you you're going to be offered a bed and food and drink every time. and it's actually a grevious occurrence against you if you decline it. But that's how big Hospitality isn't inside of these these near East cultures and hear you saying don't forget to do this that that we should be hospitable to one. Another Christian Hospitality was was to outdo the hospitality of the culture around them. The preacher reminds The church here of of times when God's angels were hosted by God's people Some of the examples people you would be familiar with when he says this would have been anybody have to mention a but he would have been thinking about like Abraham and Sarah when the Angels were there to bring judgment against Sodom and Gomorrah. They hosted those angels. They just it just did that there was an angel that appeared to Samson's parents just before his birth. Right and then we think about the angel who personally appeared Gabriel to Joseph and Mary right to Proclaim their the birth of Jesus Christ and then an angel that came to Zechariah and Elizabeth 11 know about John the Baptist. The point is not about the angels. We already know that Jesus is better than the Angels. It's about God using the hospitality in the lives of the Believers to bring forth his plan to reclaim his truth. I think particularly of the story of Rosario Butterfield and I tell you if you don't know Rosario Butterfield story learn it. It will change how you think about the gospel. Not in a bad way, but in a positive way there was a woman who was a English and women's studies teachers at University of Syracuse or Syracuse University in New York. a proclaimed lesbian

strong and it actually felt that it was a a more desirable and more honorable way to engage in relationships. then typical heterosexuality and she says that the gospel came with a front door key that her neighbors next door were Believers and they reached out to her and love on her in a manner of hospitality. They took care of things for her. They took care of her a big checked on her. That letter to Christ. Married kids are things different now. He's a proclaimer the gospel. and in his future of a former lifestyle

Hospitality wins people for Jesus. It's a part of our gospel call. We me raising my hand have got to do a better job of being hospitable with scriptures. Call us to People around us are very hungry for community that they are hungry to feel like they belong I think of our times just even hear it in our pantry when people just want to talk they just want to be heard. They just want to know that somebody cares and listens. That's the doorway that opens up to the room of hospitality. It's listening.

hospitality is where those were two things are going to start that's a way for the gospel to be opened up to someone who needs it, but we need to be more hospitable. It says continuing on to remember those in prison those who are and those who are mistreated now at the time that this was written. They were Brothers and Sisters in Christ who were in prison and there may have actually been some people in the original congregation that had been in prison there may have been some folks with a new person in prison. We see you later on. Timothy's just been released most likely from prison, right? But this was this was not uncommon for you to be a believer me in prison for your faith. It's a little weird here in Western Society to think about that. honestly

I just don't know that I can't think of any times that's happened. Whether I can think back to early America when when people were banished from Villages because they had a had a disagreement with their Church Elders in there is if it weren't for Rodger Williams, we wouldn't in and him disagreeing with the Puritans. We wouldn't have the we wouldn't have the colony of Rhode Island. You know, he got booted out if I'm just looking to get most of my history on that right? I mean he believed in God not baptizing babies, but believe in Believers baptism the elders there in Massachusetts Bay disagreed with him. You got to go and be here are those sorts of things took place that's private the last time In Western history, but those were two things happened to Believers in Christ. But their places all over the world where it's happening every day. We need to be aware that we need to be thinking about that. There were people being beaten for their faith persecution was much more real to this congregation than it is to us. Now. The second part here is something interesting it says and those who are mistreated. Purchase. We need to pay some heed to those were being mistreated. There are people all around us that need to be shown hospitality.

There are people all around us are being mistreated. We don't always think about it, but there are the way that we as Christians treat orphans way. We treat widows way. We treat immigrants way. We treat refugees the way we treat the underprivileged. In our society reflects what we think about how we view Jesus Christ.

If we're not showing love and compassion to them. Then that's that's a message. We don't need to send it. If we show no compassion the world will Beyond us will not understand how we can claim the god. That is love yet. We shown on. They they won't understand that. This damage is our Witness. And we've got to be cautious of that. The gospel is greater than that and the gospel overcome those feelings of us in that we've got to show compassion to those around us who need it. Next track says let marriage be held in honor man. This one chunk about marriage. dolly

this verse is so so much deeper than just remaining a virgin before you get married. It really is folks. This is deeper than that. This is about purity of heart. This is about fleeing Temptation and guarding oneself Against The Temptations of sexual immorality. This is about teaching our children that there's much more about keeping the marriage bed undefiled and just waiting until you're married that this is us taking the directors of scripture seriously enough to have the tough conversations with one another and our children about purity. This is hard. This is more than I can expound upon in in the time that I have on a Sunday morning. This is a lifetime of us being in scripture saying what it says about being pure of heart striving with one another to get there and teaching our children to do it. And it's not just by the way True Love Waits.

Yeah, I still have my card from 1992 and I signed up for True Love Waits.

If I could say that from 1992 until the time I met Leah, I was truly pure of heart. I would be lying to you. I was a virgin. I don't know that I can say I was truly pure of heart away scripture calls list. It's bigger than that, and I would love to dive into that with all of us.

But its 11:40 and I don't have time. moving on He says to keep your life free from the Love of Money 1st Timothy, 6:10 teaches us that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil and Luke 18. Jesus asked the Young Ruler to sell all that he had and give us the proceeds all to the poor and the man went away disheartened because he desired worldly riches more than the kingdom of heaven. A love of money and possessions draws us to the world and draws us away from God. I get it. You got to have money to survive, right?

It's nice to have heat now that it's gotten cold gas bill takes a little bit of money. Electric bill. It's nice to turn on the shower in the morning and have water right we got to have some money survive, but the love of it the desire of it that the drive for that goal. You've got to watch that because it will draw us away from God rather than drawing us to God and verse 6. this chapter the the preacher you're actually kind of quotes of a couple places. He quotes and songs and quotes and Proverbs remind us that we are trust replacing God rather than our own means pacifically inverse 60. He's kind of getting into Psalm 118:6 that that weird is not about just trusting God. Financial well-being is about trusting God for more than that, but it is it is crucial to that. So where is called here in these first 6 vs. 6 vs the show love toward the Saints by enduring in brotherly. Love the show love towards strangers by showing Hospitality to love towards prisoners in the mistreated or called hold our marriages and honor and to hold money loosely. This is important. These are things we can't do on our own I would love to be able to tell you that that I could do all of that. That's why I got that man. That's easy. I can't do that on my own but I like stuff, right? There are things that are in me. That did my signature. I'm still trying to kill off that want me to go towards these things and says no don't rice Dennis does this for us? Moving forward verse 7 says imitate the faith of your leaders not know. This is a tough one for me. When I got to this like in here knowing how imperfect I am. I stand knowing how messed up I am. I stand here knowing how Unworthy of invitation I am everyday. I get that verse 8 though encourages me.

We are to look really to the example of Jesus. He is confident. I am the same yesterday today and forever. It says. I am Jesus is so constant where I am so inconsistent, right? He is steady and I am shaky every time she's there. They're great leaders whom I look up to and anyone tried to imitate a lot of them are not even that well-known like these guys that I look up to their there. They're they haven't they've never password huge churches or only one of them has ever written a book.

And what it really is is it these are men of God who just poured time in my life. That's why I look up to this guy. Is it beside the bed of a set in the bed of a pickup truck and had a sandwich together after a day of fishing or maybe guys that I don't know. We just decided to go have lunch together and I poured into me. But was really more important is the son of a poor time into my life. They spoke biblical truth to me and he spoke biblical truth into me even when it was uncomfortable. Calling me out when I needed it. We talked about discipline this morning. I tend to be the guy that needs to smack on the back of the head. When it's done, right and it's done by a Godly Man, it feels good. Later. Had gentleman do that to me. These are people that we should look for in our lives men and women of Faith who are rooted and grounded in teaching will speak biblical truth and our lives these people keep us from strange teachings, which is where he's going next right deal with verses 9 through 11 all deal with heresies and false teaching this blows my mind. At the time it just this letter was written to the church where one generation. Away from Jesus's Ascension into heaven like we're one generation. All right at 30 years or so from that happening already heresy and false teaching creeping into the church the specific one here kind of deals with food. The preachers reminding us that spiritual food is what nourishes our heart and hat but Jesus offers us it is of much more value in is better for us than anything that we could offer up at the temple to the Tabernacle. It's not just a sister. There's a lot of things that could have been going on. We know that Paul has a conversational in his letters about eating food that has been offered up the sacrifices and in all these sorts of things but there was something here going on. There was some false teaching going on in regards to food and what it does for you.

And Jesus offers up something better than any of those things. At Calvary Jesus offered himself up for our sake is blood paid the price and provides forgiveness and atonement for our sin. That's what we need to focus on. We need to go to the word of God of this idea of of staying away from diverse and strange teaching.

Go to the word go to what you know is here. If it doesn't jive out with what it says here if it feels odd if it feels strange if it's like well, that's new and interesting well. This is the same yesterday today and forever if it feels new and interesting, it may not be what you need. It's a good chance. It's not go back to the word dig in their big. Nothing. Any preacher says. As the True Heart Of God do your own homework?

verses 13 and 14 We see it really kind of what is a missionary call here.

He says go outside the camp, right? Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear the reproach. He endured over here. We have no lasting City, but we seek a city that is to come this has got a very Otis has kind of an eschatological missionary calling summerguard that this is an in * called it that we are to live our lives like we know what's to come books. We should we don't but we should we should live our lives to know it will this is not where I live. I die. I may have an Indiana driver's license and it may say that I'm a I'm a citizen of the United States and I'm a resident of the state of Indiana, but that's all lies, really If I'm AB, I'm a follower of Jesus Christ. I reside in the United States, but I'm a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. That's my final destination. I need to live my life for that. That's what this 13 and 14 is commission recalled of that now. We are to leave behind the things the love of the things of this world and is missionary called to emulate Jesus put aside the love of this world to emulate Jesus Brothers. Now, this is not mean we're going to move to Abu Dhabi and live in a mud hut and that's not that kind of missionary call. That's not what he's getting at here. So, I'm really what the Great Commission missionary call us about but it does mean that we realized we have no permanent home here on Earth.

And because we have no permanent home here on Earth. We should live as though we're just passing through and if we're living Our Lives as we're just passing through then we should also be living Our Lives sharing the gospel to those as we go. That's the missionary call here sharing the gospel every step of the way we go.

We move forward with 15 and 16 verses 15 and 16 are really kind of reflect on a common sentiment throughout the Psalms the idea of constantly speaking praise to the Lord in all we do and living a life of worship and praise.

It kind of takes us back to the end of Roman soup from about chapter 12 to the end of Romans and in chapter 16 that this has this idea that happens here that we can see that the author of the book of Hebrews was a very closely connected somehow to Paul and Timothy and their Ministry. We don't build to this day know who it was but there's definitely a feel that they were connected well, Two were called to do good works in to be generous with what we have and end in these are not physical sacrifices with their sacrifices of our heart be worthy sacrifices to God worthy worship worthy of these things.

Sacrifice of praise it says in the word these we do because of the outflow and the Overflow the holy spirit in us that that we're just constantly.

Speaking phrase and speaking a good thing about our God and confessing to those what he is done living out of life worthy of his praise and verse 17 the preacher returns back to leadership. It's a burden to be in church leadership. It's it's not because it's more difficult than other leadership positions. I don't think it necessarily is this is no tougher a job say than to be a nurse administrator or the other to be a high school assistant principal or to be a shift manager or to be a foreman on a on a job site. What makes it difficult is the weight of why does it state?

even in situations of life or death leadership The stakes really aren't as high.

As where someone will spend eternity.

At surgeon that lead surgeon in an operating theater. It's life or death on the table. but he's not necessarily been charged with her that person spends eternity Church leader has

big difference what the what the offer here is getting out of Stew being encouraged her to your church leadership show them love and support pray for them frequently and pray for them off and be involved and there is not much more discouraging to ministers and church leaders to have people not involved in The Fellowship of the Saints. I get it's it's a it's a heartbreaking thing sometimes to see folks. You know, who love the Lord and are just on themselves aside or not fellowshipping with one another me involved in the ministries of the church

I recently read it in and some forms that I follow where guys are in in churches this size and they're they're striving and they're they're begging to get things going and they're just pleading with God and pleading with the congregation's to to be out serving. And a struggling I don't feel that kind of a bird in here. I love you. Let me clarify all that. I don't feel that a Calvary Heights but know that it is heavy though that there are there nights but I wake up and I just have to pray because souls are at stake.

That weighs weighs heavily on a heart. Pray for the leaders of your church is pray for pray for everyone here. Pray for the warship is it gets ready to be planned out on a on a Sunday morning pray for the word before its priests free for all of these things prefer Sunday school leaders or Miss Jennifer shed 5 Rugrats this morning now, they're sweet kids, but they also rambunctious, right? Pray for those folks that are in leadership within your church understand this if there's no second string in the church, right? Nobody's redshirting on the Jesus team that works No One Rides the pine, right? All who are called of Christ have a purpose and a place to serve and we need to be placed in that and serving in that. Verses 18 through 19 the author continues on ask the readers of the sermon to pray for him and his ministry partners. This is what kinda became a little more real if this is a real Church. But this sermon has been sent to this is a real church with real people with real needs this prayers. One-off church member should pray for those who teach and lead in the church, though. Those who lead in Minister need to act honorably and with a clear conscience and all they do. Because this is what progress has the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

You're in verses 15 through 19 is a kind of wrap up this little chunk what we see that we are off of pleasing sacrifices to the Lord. We are called to submit to our leaders not to them as people. What's the wattage through scripture? We are asked to pray for the pastors and in for the preacher here while it while the preacher of Hebrews is gone. And with the Lord this remind us to pray for those who strive and are away from family and friends for the sake of the Lord for the cause of Christ.

And we seem closing and things out and it closes out. We seem kind of remind original audience there for us to heed the word of exhortation that proceeded to listen what was said in scripture. Just listen, but then to follow

He lets us know that Timothy and I love this because everything I found says that this is the Timothy 1st and 2nd Timothy Paul's true son in the faith Timothy you Marvis you take Mark and I'll take Timothy we're going to go our separate ways and Our Shepherd missionary Journeys. Timothy. Timothy has been released from prison Weebly prison or house arrest of some sort. And then he sends greetings to all the other saints that are with him. Just very very typical of a new testament letter.

There's some things that as we wrap up the book of Hebrews, we wrap up specifically chapter 13, there's some things that we should do. We should show brotherly love we should be hospitable. We should remember the imprisoned in in mistreated. We need to be pure of heart and keep our marriage is Honorable be free of the Love of Money imitate the faith of leaders who imitate Jesus avoid false teaching and heresy live a missionary call our daily lives and emulate Jesus continually.

Praise God with word and deed obey submit and pray for your leaders list seems huge. It was like getting rid of all of this stuff up here. That was big and deep in sick and rich in Theology and then goes oh, yeah, by the way do this is just like there's a huge checklist at the end. Like I'm running out of Papyrus. I don't know how to get all this in and and so he says it quickly it feels

It seems huge. It seems difficult to keep up with. But here's the good news about all of it. None of these works.

None of them are required to get you to heaven.

You got that right, but none of them are required to get you to heaven. This is not a now that you've learned all about Jesus. There's a checklist to get you there.

These are works that you're going to do because you are going to heaven. These are the things are already being placed in Your Heart by the Holy Spirit by Jesus Christ and dwelling you. These are things that you want to do to show you're not a citizen of this planet. Your citizenship is in the Kingdom of Heaven. These works of Faith come because you have faith. You have faith because Jesus called you to Faith.

This is really important here. You can still go ahead and do all of these things. But without Jesus all of these works are meaningless and useless bad. It's nice to treat people nicely. That's what really that kind of boils down to it without Jesus.

Not anything other than just reading people nice. With Jesus they come to us through him who's the author and Perfecter of our faith with Jesus. They show God's glory in our life with Jesus. They Proclaim him till he comes again.

With Jesus, they are the gospel lived out daily in our lives church. That's what we need. Hebrews has been this amazing study of Theology of the Old Testament how everything in the Old Testament point us to Jesus crisis New Covenant in the blood that the one sacrificed the paid for it off the even paid the wages of sin the paid for all of it. all those other sacrifices atone for time Jesus he wants a bra. No longer necessary. We give back out of what little we have show that we belong to him.

They were going to have our kind of call of action. And it's it's real simple is as we've looked at the book of Hebrews and when we study disc in your ask yourselves, why where am I at here? Where do I stand with what I sing and Hebrews 13 Jesus make me have an abundance of you, but I can't help but to do these things. That would be my prayer today. Let the love that you have poured out on me the face that you've given me Jesus let it just oozes out or out let it just flow out so that these things I see here. I can't help but do because of you and me. pray with me

Father I thank you.

I thank you that when I look at that list at this seems large and huge and and difficult to maintain that it's Not required of my salvation that I I do the things that are on my list because you have already saved me. You've already brought me to Faith and it's at Faith. It's going to let those things flow out for me. Although I pray that is as an individual.

I live that better that you're working in my life that you're working in my heart you're working in my soul.

The disciplined me like you told us in chapter 12 of this book so that I may live out to fruition, but you've called us to as Believers in Christ in chapter 13.

Well, that's my prayer for me and sauce of my prayer for the church. But all of us are undergoing some of that. Fathers were going to take some time to to do business with you. I pray that that's the prayer of our hearts right now.

that we are just

falling forward saying we surrender.

Make us yours. blow out of us or Jesus

and it's in your name and for your sake we pray. Amen.
