At the crucifixion, the Jewish rulers and Roman soldiers ridiculed Jesus along with one of the thieves. However, the second thieve on a cross asked to be with Jesus in His Kingdom. Our king is ruler of the lost and hopeless, never forcing but always available. This radical kingdom was brought to all humanity and is now available through the church and through each of us.
