Rights and Privileges

So many times we have looked a measuring rod to determine if we are doing what is right in the kingdom. Most of the time it seems that people use obedience to God’s dream for your life as a measuring rod.
Jesus however, said it was how we love one another that people will be able to see that we are a disciple of Jesus.
So many times we have determined the way we treat others by the way we have been treated.
We have used the excuse that I have the “right” to treat someone bad because they have done “X.”
Loving others is not conditional on how you are treated.

Submit one to Another

Paul is writing about living a spirit-filled life and then he says to “Submit to one another in reverence to Christ.”
Yield yourself to one another, especially when you don’t want to.
Give on on always having to be right!
Forgive even when you don’t feel like you need to, but someone else does!
Be willing to give up on a privilege for the sake of peace.
Honor the gift in someone else by encouraging them and embracing them.

Honor is Reverence to the Holy One

To honor is to treat everyone as if they are
Honoring one another is a Holy Act towards not just people, but also to our Father.
Proverbs 1:7 NLT
7 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Honoring is a choice, but it is also a way of living in the Kingdom.
Honoring is a choice, but it is also a way of living in the Kingdom.
So today we need to place our attitudes, our preconceived ideas, our un-forgiveness on the alter.
