Here, freed from captivity (also, recall Creation, Exodus, Exile, etc.)

Verses 3-4 - God’s deeds, His actions

Provoke fear and awe in those who hear about them

(Rahab, e.g. in Jericho)

Freed, delivered, saved

Freed from the captivity of Sin, slavery to it () - BOUGHT!

If people hear about what He’s done for us, and how we praise Him, regardless of circumstances

Provoke fear and awe in those who hear about them

-they will fear (respect) and be in awe - at least they’ll get the chance! YES

So AWESOME - Indescribable

The whole world should hear and know

Verses 5-6: Come see what God has done!

Red Sea, Jordan for them, what about us? What’s He done for you?

I’m worshiping God, our great God!

JOIN ME!

It’s personal, our God, not “theirs”

LET’S MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE! How?

Sing, praise

Say “GOD, YOU ARE GREAT!” How?

(Tell us) Let’s do that!

Speak well of God - LET’S DO THAT!

You, Us, praise God - cause others to hear, give them no excuse not to
