Intro: Everything good in your life comes from God ().
James 1:17 NKJV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
We’ll grow closer to God when we understand this truth and build our lives around it. When we as people understand that thanksgiving in not just about a verbal expression of our thanks, but should be a deep seeded longing to give God praise.
Is it possible to go deeper in our thanksgiving? Can we express ourselves in thanksgiving on a way that would bring Glory to our heavenly father?

Make Thanksgiving a regular practice.

Thanksgiving is not a once in a while occurrence.
a. If we only give thanks at a called upon occasion (thanksgiving, blessing of our food, ect..) we will miss the intimacy that it brings.
Learn from others that have tapped into thanksgiving.
b. The more you give thanks, the more you want to give thanks.

Story: A coworker of my wife hard a appendicitis, when the doctor ordered his CT exam, they found a rare for of Cancer in his kidneys, The symptoms of this cancer never shows up until its to late to operate, It’s a silent killer. The was treated for the cancer and his healthy today. The beauty of this story is not that the cancer was found, but that because of a appendicitis, God allowed his life to be spared. He was able to give God praise during the cancer for his mercy and goodness.
...when you pain is real, your praise will be vested.
Start somewhere!
a. If you are a novelist, start simple. “Lord thank you for the day, life, food, clothing, family, church, ect..
b. Allow your thanks grow into praise.

Do not allow your situation to dictate your praise

Thanksgiving should be driven by love not the environment.
a. Do not let what you see determine your praise.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Make gratitude a part of your interactions with other people

Others need to see your thanksgiving
a. The thanksgiving praise you demomstrate my encourage other to do the same.
b. Invite others into your relationship of thanksgiving praise.
c. Remember that praise can be contagious
Luke 18:43 NKJV

Luke 18:43 NKJV
And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
Conclusion: Our lives can get overwhelming, daunting, and hard. We can easily get discouraged, frustrated, and burned out by circumstances or relationships that are beyond our control. In those seasons where we are feeling hopeless and helpless, the best thing we can do is turn away from the challenges and turn toward Christ. Understand that a praise of Thanksgiving can turn our mess into an offering of worship to God. Don’t miss the opportunity to give Him Glory.
When we remember that God is in control and our lives are not our own, we remember we have a Savior who gives us strength when we are weak and who comforts us in all our times of need. He’s worthy of our thanksgiving praise!
We love and serve a good, gracious Father, and we are undeserving of the love, grace, and mercy he so freely lavishes on us. What else could we do but give him endless thanks and praise in return?
Give God the praise He deserves from you!
