God is Love, Love is God We have Heard this all our lives
This is true You cannot have love apart from God, as it is one of the fruits of the Spirit being a fruit is only given to those justified by Christ no man can love that is lost.
That being said they may care for one another they may know responsibility towards one another they may lust after one another they may like each other a whole whole lot. But they cannot love, For love is a product of God and is only given to the one who surrenders to Christ puts their faith in Him alone and beard the fruits of the Holy Spirit
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
So what is love? How is God love, why is it so special.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
How do we know God is love
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
So, What is love then? When I can do all these things in spite of my feelings reguarless of someones actions,
I do not feel loving when I am tempted to anger, or to impatience, when i seek my own, when i believe the worst when i giveup on someone.
But when i deny these feelings and rejoice I am longsuffering as He is towards me, I humble myself as he call me to be, I bear with a difficult person as I am called unto that I might endure all things that is what true love is
The love that lays down its life those natural reactions and demands those sinful habits that I lean on God for understanding, wisdom and strength that is what love is.
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
God loves you before you loved him while you were still enemies of Him he loved you greater is no other love that that of God.
This is a love that endures even when not recipocated
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
2. Your love for God is not greater that it is for your fellow man
Godly love does not change according to circumstance
If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
3.Gods love was manifest throh his only son
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him.
Because God is Just He hates Sin The bible says
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Therefore apart from Christ the bible says the wages of Sin is death
So God is Love as he is also Just in Hist justice bears his wrath upon the ungodly upon the unrighteousness of men.
Being that we all have fallen short of the Glory of God and that God is longsuffering towards us as it is written
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
in His Divine nature in Hid Glorious Love God gave us His Son Jesus Christ who was born from the womb of a virgin who was ridiculed who was beat who was strung up in front of a mob as it is written
Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
It pleased the father because He loves you so much to crush His only beggtton Son so that you might share in His everlasting Life.
Fall down and give God the Praise this morning for not are worthy of such a Love of such a sacrifice. Give him the worship the he so greatly deserves
5 Walk worthy of this Love of this Gift that cost so much Walk worthy
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,
I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
Oh what Love That God would pour his Blessings His Mercy His grace upon this wretched man that I am so unclean so unworthy of His Holiness Oh what a Love
