Introduction

Differences: the seal and trumpet judgments will be limited judgments. The bowl judgments are total.

Complete and final judgment will fall upon the ungodly.

A Great Voice Crying (v.1)

Must be the voice of God.

Only God can give the order to consummate the end.

Two things to know:

God is just and righteous.

God loves and cares for the earth.

The judgment: ulcerous sores

The object: the worshippers of the Beast

Selective judgment

Humiliation and pain (shingles)

The Second Bowl (v.3)

The judgment: the sea becomes like blood

The object: marine life, food source

Red tide?

Worldwide or localized to the Beast’s kingdom?

The Third Bowl (v.4-7)

The judgment: fresh water source becomes like blood

The object: the Beast’s kingdom, unjust/ungodly

The reason: God executes justice

Vindicates the matrys

God’s nature: just and true

“We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things.” (, ESV)

“The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.” (, ESV) Promise

The Fourth Bowl (v.8-9)

The judgment: scorching heat

The object: the kingdom of the Beast

The reaction: men blame God, blaspheme and do not repent

The Fifth Bowl (v.10-11)

The judgment: darkness and agony

The object: the kingdom of the Beast

The reaction: men blame God, blaspheme and do not repent

The judgment: Euphrates river dries up

1780 miles long

300-1200 yards wide

10-30 feet deep

The reason: to allow a great army to march through

The source: evil spirits

The event: the great day of God

The warning: watch

The place: Armageddon

The Seventh Bowl (v.17-21)

God’s thundering announcement: It is done!

The phenomena of God’s glory: nature breaks loose

The reaction (3 times): man blame God, blaspheme and do not repent

Conclusions

Christians should be prepared for Christ’s imminent return.
