Turn BACK!
Turn BACK!
On the way to Jerusalem Jesus was going through the region between Samaria and Galilee. As he entered a village, ten lepers approached him. Keeping their distance, they called out, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were made clean. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. He prostrated himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus asked, “Were not ten made clean? But the other nine, where are they? Was none of them found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Get up and go on your way; your faith has made you well.”
Intro:

10 lepers raised their voice or called out to Jesus
10 lepers went to show themselves to the priests
10 lepers were made clean as they went
Healing came to them as they were moving on their journey
1 of the 10 lepers turned back praising God with a loud voice once he saw he was healed.
9 of the 10 lepers dissappeared without saying Thanks
What I want to know is what Jesus wants to know...
What happened to the other Nine lepers?
......what makes us lose the spirit of gratitude!?
.....and how do we not repeat their actions!?
They never lived out a life of thankfulness because they disconnected their request for help and the healing they received.......
Questions for the Nine...
How did you recover or be made whole?
What made you keep walking when you saw the one that was healed turn back?
Keys to finding and expressing Gratitude
Recognize what has been done for us
Think about how many people miss this change to the level that we need to.
Return or reposition ourselves to show gratitude
Most people fail to do this because it takes a certain level of sacrifice.
The miracle did not happen as they were standing where Jesus was. It happened as they were walking to see the priests.
Their is significant value in positioning ourselves to show gratitude
This is not an “I have to”, this is an “I want to”
Raise our voice (surprised expression in the Gk.) with thankful praise
Honor must be spoken
Its ok to express excitement and emotion
Reiterate Gratitude with humble worship
You and I could not have accomplished this, which requires a humble admission of who God is in our life situation
They were Unresponsive to a Miracle
