Paul’s Precepts

Romans 8:35–39 AV
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing can separate us from Jesus
Philippians 1:6 AV
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Romans 8:28–30 AV
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
“The Golden Chain.” Those whom God foreknew, predestined, called, and justified will be glorified. Every link in the chain is forged by God 1

Preservation of the Saints

PERSEVERANCE OF THE SAINTS—their certain continuance in a state of grace. Once justified and regenerated, the believer can neither totally nor finally fall away from grace, but will certainly persevere therein and attain everlasting life.
Easton, M. G. (1893). In Easton’s Bible dictionary. New York: Harper & Brothers.them through thy word
Jesus prayed for our faith to remain
Jesus promised to bring all to Heaven
Jesus promised eternal life to the elect
Jesus promised us in marriage
God gave the elect to Jesus as a bride
But what about verses like
Hebrews 10:26 AV
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
And all the rest of the verses in the Bible that talk about losing faith
or losing salvation?
are all those warnings real?
if they are how can it go both ways?
Next week
Take heart every thing spoken of this morning is the truth
