Ruth, the story of true faith, belief and love as well as a wonderful story of devotion. Ruth is the Hebrew title of this book. This name may be a Moabite modification of the Hebrew word, “reuit” meaning friendship or association.

A brief outline to get started, Ruth is one of Naomi's daughter-in-laws. Naomi’s husband dies and then her two sons die leaving her with her two son’s wives. Naomi was from Bethlehem and after all of this death, she decides to return to Bethlehem. She is distraught, sad, upset..........

The first part of Ruth takes place at the NE side of the Dead Sea in Moab. Moab was a pagan society, they were descendants of Lot. Israel was at war with the Moabites often. Not fun!

So Naomi decides to go back to Israel, so now comes the love that Ruth shows for God and Naomi.
