Ephesians 3
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly
above all that we ask or think, according to the power that
worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus
throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Level UP
• For those who may be unaware of the phrase level up. It
is an urban colloquialism or language that refers to the
idea of making moves for the purpose of bettering or
benefiting one’s life.
• It’s two words that insinuates an individual is taking
initiative not to wait for something to happen. But to
make something happen.
• It’s a person that understands things don’t move
because the calendar move but things move because I
make moves.
• It’s a phrase that’s intent is to push us to our potential,
create a burden for our best. It’s a statement for those
who refuse to settle for mediocrity but want to
experience the fullness of God’s best for their life.
• It’s for those that say next year will not be like this one
bc it’s not that the year is making changes, I am making
changes bc I’m about to level up.
God of levels
• Our God is a God of levels. Because He progressively
exposes and unveils aspects of himself to us in ways that
he has not done before.
• He is about to introduce us to aspects of Himself that we
have not seen before but He also is about to introduce to
us aspects of ourself that we have not seen before.
• **I want to tell you that there’s a you that you haven’t
met yet! And God is about to introduce you to that you.
Text
• In Ephesians 14-15 we see the introduction of Paul’s
prayer.
• In 16-19 he’s praying again for the Ephesians
• That He would grant you, according to the riches of His
glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit
in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts
through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in
love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what
is the width and length and depth and height; to know
the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you
may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Focus Text
• We see the what some will deem as the doxology.
• A doxology is a hymn or form of words containing a
praise to God. Such as Praise God from whom all
blessings flow.
• This doxology does not only belong to the prayer that
precedes it, but also to every glorious privilege and
blessing spoken of the first three chapters. Who is able
to bring such things to pass.
• Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly
above all that we ask or think, according to the power
that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ
Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Last mention
• In theological integrity we must pay attention to the
importance of last mention.
• It’s just that in body of information or letter there is an
outline.
• Salutation is at the top(Target): Hello my name is or
dead...
• Body of the narrative: This is the summation of the
information. This is what I like to discuss.
• Conclusion: most important statements, the conclusion
in the whole matter is found in the conclusion. The thing
that matters the most. If you remember nothing focus in
on the last paragraph of every document.
Love letter
• If I’m writing a love letter.
• The top of the letter and the body of the letter I’m trying
to convince you of the decision I want you to make at
the end.
• So I’m stating why I’m the candidate, I’m going to say
what I notice about you how I like...(What Lisa has on)
• And when I get to the bottom I’m going to say do you
like me circle Yes or No.
• Which means that everything I’ve introduced and stated
is to get you to make a decision or commitment at the
bottom and I want to be clear that what I said last was
most important.
According
• Agreement to the power.
• Faith and power are not the same. Faith allows you to
access the power.
• My issue is that we have faith but never access power.
We are free to do but bound by our own laziness.
• Power takes work to utilize it.
