Be excellent to each other

Colossians 3:12–13 HCSB
Therefore, God’s chosen ones, holy and loved, put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive.
People should see a difference in the way people who claim to follow Christ live and no where is that difference better seen than after we have survied a storm of life. How we react, how we live after the storms, how we reach and support each other is evidence to others that there is more to this whole Christianity thing than just songs and podcasts. People need to see us being gentle, kind and forgiving. When they do they see a model of what can be.
Colossians 3:12

Love FIRST

Colossians 3:14 HCSB
Above all, put on love—the perfect bond of unity.
Love should inform everything we do and say. Love is to be our motivating factor, Love is why we are here, Love pushes out fear, Love is patient love is kind, etc. When we come through a storm one of choice or of circumstance and are on the other side better for it, we can be tempted to judge instead of love (expound)
Colossians 3:

Live like Him

Colossians 3:15–16 HCSB
And let the peace of the Messiah, to which you were also called in one body, control your hearts. Be thankful. Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God.
Colossians 3:15-16
It’s not enough to just know about Jesus, it’s not enough to be able to tell what we believe, to recite scripture. Knowing about someting and someone is very different from knowing someone, from living and moving and doing life with them. We are supposed to do life together with Jesus, not just as our model but as an active participant in what we do say and how we live. We have to learn, we have to do, we have to worship, we have to say thank you.
Colossians 3:15 HCSB
And let the peace of the Messiah, to which you were also called in one body, control your hearts. Be thankful.

Remember who got you through!

Colossians 3:
Colossians 3:17 HCSB
And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
If you’re going to claim a relationship with with Jesus, If you’re going to tell people you are a Christian. Then make sure he is the lead in the story of your life. (expound)

This Week’s Challenge
