We Live in a Reality of Spiritual Warfare
Sampson was caught in the middle of a spiritual war.
Sampson lost because he didn’t trust God.
Judges 16:23-25
The Powers of this world and the power of God.
Jesus already won the war.
(Pastor Chuck) We fight from victory
Sampson was brought out to be humiliated, his sin led to his death.
Sampsons arms were stretched out to push the pillars.
Jesus arms were stretched out, not to push pillars but to bear sin.
Jesus outstretched arms bore our burden.

Before we even get into Micah’s Folly we must know what the solution is.

Sin Seeks to Redefine Reality

Micah was slave to his own delusion.
What is Virtual reality?
(LOOK AT CAMERA)
Virtual Reality is not Reality
It’s a reality that is often times better than your current reality, you can escape your problems and find yourself in the midst of a reality where you have control, you have power and authority.
The AI doesn’t look at you for your deficiencies, YOU ARE IN CONTROL
Survivor Illustration
People use God to manipulate.
They use God to control and get their way, they are living in Micah’s folly.
The Reality of Virtual Reality
The reality is you are still living under a reality created by someone else.
When you take the goggles off, you can’t avoid your reality.
Your reality won’t be changed after being in the virtual reality.
In fact reality will want to make you go back to your alternative reality.
You are living in someone else’s reality.
This is why we must understand the nature of spiritual warfare.
If we miss this then we will see things in the same light as Micah and fall prey to his folly.

Virtual Reality robs from Reality
“You take my gods that I made and the priest, and go away, and what have I left?
When your virtual reality is stripped from you, you WILL be left with nothing.
When your ultimate is taken from you, you are left with nothing, you are nothing.
What will it take for you to realize the path you headed down is leading to nothing.
Will you stop before it’s too late?
Jesus seeks to Redeem your reality (LOOK AT CAMERA)
Jesus stepped into our delusion.
Jesus looked at our delusion and said “I will take the punishment.
I will confront the result of their delusion.
Jesus looked at our delusion and said I will take the punishment.
I will stand in front of those who are lost.
Jesus was struck with the reality of God’s judgment and justice so you and I might be struck with the reality of his love and grace.
If we seek freedom from our own delusion then we must die to it.
If we seek freedom from our own delusion then we must die to it.
Romans 6:6-
