As we go through life accumulate ; Distractions, Hurt, Disappointments, Bitterness, Control, Failures
Jesus is calling us to travel light to let go...

How we continue to put and labour with those yokes daily
A yoke is anything that has you enslaved (bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, slander, your house, your job, your car, rent, your wife..... you think you have it but it has you
Some are holding onto things thinking we are protecting ourselves yet the very things we built to protect us have us trapped in!!!!!

Guys the battle is not yours … its the Lords, even when everything in our culture and life is screaming the opposite - both in good and bad ways - God is saying your life is too valuable, your calling is too great and He is too good to waste your life on stuff that doesn’t matter. He is calling us to live a decluttered life...
Listen guys
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,

Which brings me to my first point:

....we are holding onto things, small and big through life and that is why we are the way we are.... you do not try anymore because you were chased off the football team.... you have that number that you call when you girlfriend says didn’t we say we should wait till marriage.... husband says we can’t afford it right now....

Write this down: WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH IS NOT A PUNISHMENT BUT A PLATFORM FOR GOD TO DO WHAT HE WANTS TO DO IN YOUR LIFE

Transition story: I remember the first time I ever gave away my shoes, I gave away 3 pairs and bought 5 new ones and some of you are just like that in your lives; I had made a decision to let go but I immediately jumped onto google...
Which brings me to my second point on how to let go....
Letting go is about what you look at!!!!

Fixed focus is related to the principle of Buying Less : 62% of people admit to buying things just to cheer themselves up
This Christmas: Less of doesn’t matter—More of what does.
God cannot do what he wants to do in your life until you forget the past. Forget the past and the formula to forgetting is fixed focus. Your process of forgetting is wrapped up in you having fixed focused on Jesus… Stop focusing on who hurt you , who didn’t come through for you, what you can get for yourself this Christmas, see things will keep coming ....
Urge you to choose experiences over things! - Buy Less, Give more.....
It is a way of saying God I trust you to be my provider!
Transition story...but you have to keep your eyes on Jesus and not on all the things that keep coming your way...

Forget sin and pain .....
but also forget the good things

Jesus is calling us to receive from him...

Write this down: This life is about a person; and its not you! Only then will you find rest for your souls!!! Guys this life is about a person ...... and its not you!!!! Stop holding on.... Stop trying .... Stop chasing ....

Life is about what Jesus has done, so we should abide in him and learn what lifes really about....even through the difficulties of life
Are you here and you feel like all these things are tying you down, holding you back … you are tired of doing it on your own, because you really cannot.... Jesus says “ Come to me all who are weary .....
Prayer:
I want to let go my past, to take hold of the future God has for me....
I want to receive Gods forgiveness. I want a relationship with Him
