Give Me Something That You Want Too

The Word Became Flesh
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
When you receive a gift from someone that has a close relationship to you, you usually want to know that they put some thought into the gift.
The gift may be welcomed at first because you are taught to be thankful for everything. However if you discover that the backstory is less than favorable then you have a lower admiration for the gift.
ON the other hand we are faced with trying to gift to meet unreasonable expectations........
The majority of gifts this time of season are in the “what I want category” and not what I need.
what I want
The wonderful wisdom of God is that even though He knows Man’s thinking is often paradoxical to his spiritual wellbeing, He gives us what is both a need and a want.
The hearing of the Gospel of Jesus reveals that what he need is Christ and later on your walk with Christ makes know that this is what you was really wanting all alone.
Compare the Holiday Commercials to the preaching of the Gospel
Lets look and understand what God the Father gave the world when he gave us Jesus in the flesh.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
If the Word is God and Jesus is the Word then it was Jesus that crteated the heavens and earth.
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
I sent the light to the Magi they asked where is he that is born King of the Jews for we have seen His star.....
God says I gave you the best I gave you myself......my only begotten Son....Jesus...
Will you receive Him?
