Welcome to Church this Communion Sunday A warm welcome to everyone to our communion Sunday services. At this special time we celebrate in the sacrament of the Lord’s supper the sacrifice and death of the Lord Jesus Christ on behalf of His people. The Lord’s table is open to any who are in communion with any branch of the church of Jesus Christ. We are thankful to God that today we have a new communicant member joining by profession of faith . And so we welcome Mrs Mary Ann Macleod into the membership of the congregation and give thanks to God for her desire to profess her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and pray that God will bless Mary Ann abundantly now and in the days to come. 12 noon service in the Church will be led by the Rev Hugh Maurice Stewart • Psalm 65:1-8 ‘ Praise waits for thee in Sion Lord ‘ • Para 30 ‘Come, let us to the Lord our God ‘ Bible Reading Isaiah 6 Sermon ‘ God’s Glory ‘ • Psalm 89 : 1- 6 ‘ God’s mercies I will ever sing ‘ • Psalm 116 : 9- 19 ‘ I’ll of salvation take the cup ‘ Sacrament of the Lord’s supper • Psalm 103: 1- 5 ‘ O thou my soul bless God the Lord ‘ No Sunday School today resumes again on 27th October Evening Service at 6.30PM in English will be led by the Rev Hugh M Stewart • Psalm 90:1-7 ‘ Lord thou hast been our dwelling place ’ • Paraphrase 67 :7-12 “ I am the first and I the last ‘ Bible Reading Zechariah 4 • Paraphrase 39 ‘ Hark the glad sound the saviour comes ‘ Sermon ‘God’s Spirit ‘ Psalm 72:16-19 ‘ Of corn and handful in the earth ‘ There will be a retiring offering after tonight’s service to help with the communion expenses. Many thanks to all those whose contributions in different ways have helped and blessed during the past week. • We give our grateful and heartfelt thanks to our preachers over this Communion Rev Hugh Maurice Stewart & Rev Iain Murdo Campbell . We have been greatly blessed by their ministry over this weekend and we as a Congregation pray that they will both continue to know God’s rich blessing and much fruit for their labour in their service to the Lord in the Congregations of Uig & Bernera and Kinloch. • Many thanks for all the donations of produce, baking, provisions etc to the manse and church. As always people’s thoughtful kindness has been overwhelming • Thanks to those who helped with ‘ the BIG CLEAN ‘ of the Church last Tuesday. • Thanks to all the office bearers for making the necessary preparations for all services (especially today’s service) and for assisting with the sacrament. • All who helped in food preparation and serving on Friday evening and Saturday lunchtime at the Church hall. • Those who helped organise and set up the hall for the various meetings, and helped tidy up afterwards. • Many thanks to Gordon for sharing his testimony with such candour in such a heartfelt and . appropriate way. So many have contributed in so many ways that it would be unfair to single people out, but please know that everyones contributions towards the Communion season are greatly appreciated. If anyone is aware of any who would like home communion then please contact one of the elders or the minister, so that this can arranged in the near future.
