Sunday Midday Communion Service

Welcome to Church this Communion Sunday A warm welcome to everyone to our communion Sunday services. At this special time we celebrate in the sacrament of the Lord’s supper the sacrifice and death of the Lord Jesus Christ on behalf of His people. The Lord’s table is open to any who are in communion with any branch of the church of Jesus Christ. 12 noon service in the Church will be led by the minister Psalm 118: 17 -26 ‘ I shall not die, but live ‘ Bible Reading Ephesians 1 Hymn 107 ‘ O sacred head sore wounded ‘ Sermon ‘ In Christ alone ( part 2) In Christ alone we have Freedom, Forgiveness, Future Hymn 106 ‘ When I survey the wondrous Cross’ Sacrament of the Lord’s supper Psalm 116 : 9 - 19 ‘ I in the land of those that live’ Psalm 103:1-5 ‘ O thou my soul bless God the Lord’ No Sunday School today resumes after the October Holidays. Evening Service at 6.30PM in English will be led by the minister. There will be a retiring offering after tonight’s service to help with the communion expenses. Many thanks to all those whose contributions in different ways have helped and blessed during the communion season. • We give our grateful and heartfelt thanks to our preachers over this Communion . Rev William Macleod, Rev Donald John Morrison and Rev Dr Ben Johnstone. • We as a Congregation pray that they will continue to know God’s rich blessing and much fruit for their labour in their service to the Lord. • Many thanks for all the donations of produce, baking, provisions etc to the manse and church. As always people’s thoughtful kindness has been overwhelming • Those who helped with the cleaning of the Church last Tuesday. And thanks as always to Murdina & Murdo John for having the Church heated, lit, opened and cleaned for each service. • Thanks to the Elders & Deacons for making the necessary preparations for all services (especially today’s service) and for assisting with the sacrament. • All who helped in food preparation and serving on Friday evening and Saturday lunchtime at the Church hall. • Those who helped organise and set up the hall for the various meetings, and helped tidy up afterwards, So many have contributed in so many ways that it would be unfair to single people out, but please know that everyones contributions towards the Communion season are greatly appreciated.
