For Your Diaries
10th 11th April. Church of Scotland Safe guarding Service workshops. The Church
safeguarding roadshow will be holding training sessions at Stornoway High Church on the
10th - 11th April. This training is necessary for the safeguarding training for all church
volunteers/ co-ordinators/ Office bearers as the Church of Scotland is working to ensure
that by 31 October 2015 all its congregations have in place arrangements ensuring that
those working with children or vulnerable adults in their congregation are approved
under the PVG Scheme and aware of their responsibilities for those in their care. The
Volunteers training will be held on Saturday 11th April from 9.30 am-1.00 pm. Can you
please take a note of these dates and please let Eileen or Ian Murdo know as soon as
possible if you are able to attend .
Please pray for the forthcoming Communion Season and for those who will come to
minister in all the Congregations of the Community. Please especially pray for those who
come to minister the word in this Congregation.
Please pray that there may be fruit following from the preaching of the word over the
communion Season and especially that those who are seeking strength or encouragement
would be helped to take that step of commitment to Jesus and His church over these
coming days. We continue to remember the many from our community and Congregation
who have been hospitalised or are still receiving treatment. We especially remember those
for whom Communion week is always a poignant reminder of those who are no longer
with us.
