Praise: Psalm 100
Praise: Hymn 660 (2nd edition)
Praise: Hymn 693 (2nd edition)
Reading: John 3:14-21 (NIV)
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the
Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who
believes may have eternal life in him.”
16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and
only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but
have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the
world to condemn the world, but to save the world through
him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but
whoever does not believe stands condemned already
because they have not believed in the name of God’s one
and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into
the world, but people loved darkness instead of light
because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil
hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that
their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the
truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly
that what they have done has been done in the sight of
God.
Tea/Coffee will be served after the morning service to
which everyone is warmly invited
6pm service (church hall) – Rev Ben Johnstone
Praise: Psalm 106: 1-5
Praise: Psalm 103: 1-5
Praise: Para 41: 1-5
Praise: Psalm 40: 1-4
Reading: Romans 8:31-39 (NIV)
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If
God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not
spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he
not also, along with him, graciously give us all
things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom
God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the
one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—
more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand
of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate
us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or
persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or
sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37
No, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am
convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor
demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any
powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all
creation, will be able to separate us from the love of
God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
