Praise: Para 26: 1-5
Praise: Hymn 166
Reading: John 1: 1-14 (KJV)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God.2 The same was in the beginning with God.3 All
things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made
that was made.4 In him was life; and the life was the light of
men.5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness
comprehended it not.6 There was a man sent from God, whose
name was John.7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of
the Light, that all men through him might believe.8 He was not that
Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.9 That was the true
Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.10 He
was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world
knew him not.11 He came unto his own, and his own received him
not.12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his
name:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man, but of God.14 And the Word was made flesh,
and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 2: 1-12
And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the
mother of Jesus was there: 2 And both Jesus was called, and his
disciples, to the marriage.3 And when they wanted wine, the
mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.4 Jesus saith
unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not
yet come.5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he
saith unto you, do it.6 And there were set there six waterpots of
stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two
or three firkins apiece.7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots
with water. And they filled them up to the brim.8 And he saith unto
them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And
they bare it.9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that
was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants
which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the
bridegroom,10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth
set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that
which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.11 This
beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested
forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.12 After this he
went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren,
and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.
