10th March 2019 A very warm welcome to our services of worship today. We pray that you will all know God’s blessing as we meet together. Worship this morning and evening is led by the Rev Scott Cameron. Induction loops are fitted in both the Church and hall for the hard of hearing. Please set your hearing aid to position ‘T’. During this service the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be taken. We give a warm welcome to our new communicant member who has joined the congregation over this Communion season. We give thanks to God and pray that God will bless her abundantly now and in the days to come. Sunday School children will meet in the hall and come through to the church prior to communion being served. Praise Psalm - 84:1-6 Oh Lord my God when I in awesome wonder. In Christ Alone Hymn - 313 Hymn - 693 John 19:16-17 16 Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified. So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. 17 Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull which in Hebrew is called Golgotha. 6.30pm Service – Church – Rev Scott Cameron. After this service there will be a retiring offering to help with Communion expenses. Communions The Kirk Session would like to place on record our grateful thanks to all whose contributions in different ways have helped during the Communion season. There are too many to name but we are indebted to you all. Special thanks to the Rev Scott Cameron and Rev John Murdo Nicolson, who have faithfully brought God’s word to us at each service and led us in worship over the Communion season. Also thanks to Murdina and Murdo John for opening and preparing the church. Above all we give our grateful thanks and praise to God for His presence with us and for His strength in our lives day by day. The Week Ahead Monday 11th March, 7pm – Thanksgiving Service led by the Rev John Murdo Nicolson. Wednesday 13th March, 10.45am – Women’s Bible study at Etta Morrison’s house. All women welcome. Wednesday 13th March, 7.30pm – Midweek Prayer Meeting. Thursday 14th – 18th March – Barvas Communions. Friday 15th March, 7.30 – 9pm, Spors Nis – Rock Solid for all P5 – S2 youth. Services next Sunday 17th March 2019 11am – Church – Mr John Hebditch. Sunday School after the children’s service. 6pm – Church – Rev John Murdo Davidson. Dates for your Diary Monday 18th March 7.30pm, Church Hall – Bible Study. All are welcome. Saturday 23rd March, 9am, Comunn Eachdraidh Nis (the old croileagan building) – Men’s Breakfast. Please come along for a breakfast roll, tea, coffee and a time of fellowship. Thursday 28th March 7.30pm, Church Hall – Holiday club planning meeting. The nomination committee would value the congregation’s prayers at this time for Gods guidance, wisdom and discernment as they continue to search for a new minister.
